Do girls like Jerks?

Many do. I've had girls openly tell me they like guys who are mean to them because it's a challenge and they get bored with guys who are too nice to them.

However I think as most girls get older they lose this attitude.

What do you think?

i think, if you're a nice guy, and only act that way, it's very hard to find someone. i think, if you're a jerk, it's easy to find someone, but hard to keep someone. i think, if you're a nice guy who can learn to acquire some of the jerk's "traits", things become a lot more fun, and a lot easier.

Oh I know that. Right now if I ever get back into a relationship I am just going to take my time and get to know the guy more. And they need to get to know me more too. I'm pretty laid back and I usually just go wherever the wind takes me.

Thats just it, ppl do confuse it ALL THE TIME, yes ppl with ego's and confidence tend to have a bit more attitude then others. It doesn't mean they are a "jerk" per-say, they are just more likely to be very stubborn =) ....

I think a lack of confidence is a HUGE turn off .. I mean if you can't show confidence in the way you present yourself, the way you come off .. this says to me "I don't care about myself, so how could I possibly care about you".

But then again a man that is to selfish can be turn off too.

You know the saying "You can't say I love you with out first learning to say the 'I'" ... It makes sense right? ... but then I got to thinking .. well you can't really say I love you with out first learing to say the 'you' either ... if that makes any sense to anyone.

As everyone should know there is a difference between being confident and being a jerk (sorry to re-state the obvious).

But imo both men and women can be confident without being an asshat or bitch. I think what it is is that there are some people that can not tell the difference and end up being with someone that is not confident but rather trying to make up for what they lack. Though I have met some women that always seemed attracted to guys that were more jerk.

About the nice guy thing ----- to quote a local bands song "nice guys finish last if at all" is true and being a recovering nice guy I can relate all to well to that statement. Don't misunderstand me, I'm still nice (to a point) but never again will I be a "pushover".

I can be a bit shy at times but I've found that just going about life and not being worried whether I get a date or not really does make a difference. It may make me look 'confident' or 'indifferent' (or whichever label you choose) but it deffinetly makes a girl curious about me. :whistling :grin
