I'm not going to take sides in this at all...

I will say that a lot of you are nuts.

Using deadly force when reasonable to protect yourself was allowable before this new law...no one is going to get away with murder--each case applicable will be investigated, as always. The largest change this law makes is just to make it impossible for people to be taken to court for defending themselves. -People who simply murder, or kill when it's not within reason will still go to court, they will still be sue-able, and they will still go to jail. And yes, firearms are legal here, so sometimes they will be involved. I think this frees courts from a few frivilous lawsuits...and yeah, Crime rates may drop a bit.

When and and where is not being able to protect yourself from deadly force, with deadly force, not a good thing?

Wow.....

I can't believe how heated and obnoxious this has become. It's great that we all have opinions, but you know what? The snide, boisterous, better-than-thou attitudes and spectacular rudeness is going to stop. It's like coming home and listening to my kids hurl constant insults and nasty names. Yes, even my kids have said "shut the fuck up."

I won't tolerate it at home. I won't tolerate it on this board.
