BrassFusion Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Here is my argument in favor of flag burning: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fantastic. The dorks make the flag themselves and they can't even pick a suitable material or control the blaze...
Steven Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 This is nads, I still agree with like everyone on this topic. Only thing is, Steven- shouldn't the people burning the flag have the right to try and change the things they hate about the country instead of just leaving? I think that's where the true strength of the U.S. is... the power of the little people to make big things happen. I agree that it's tacky and there's a difference between making a bullshit "statement" and getting something accomplished. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yes, they do have that right to try to change things. I'd be curious to know how many flag burners actually put down their zippos and pick up a phone....
Daevion Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 I burned a few bibles the other day and it was great.....in fact I just invented a device that converts burned bibles and/or flags into fuel for my 5 mile/gal hummer. Sure I could have bought a more fuel efficient vehicle but who gives a crap about saving energy when saving on car insurance is infinitely more important.
Hellion Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 Wait till the flag looks like this, hopefully not.this I would burn.

Does anyone watch the Colbert Report? He referenced this last night. It was hilarious.
cptdeath Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 i was going through some old punisher comics the other day and found one called flag bunner. it had comercials in it for the old tiger games before gameboy came out. this young black kid 19 or 20 was burning a flag in a farmer town in iowa infront of a statue of some civil war general. of course he was from chicago and had only been in iowa for two days of his life. then a 60 something war vet and 3 white guys stomped his head. they would have kept stomping but the punisher walked up plain clothes eating a sandwitch , he broke it up. they were like why not stomp his head in. cause that flag is big, big enough to survive this. it's big enough that you can let him burn it it's bigger then that. then he broke up a meth lab in an old factory run by a local politician. some local cops died. factory exploded. he got hit in the head with a shovel. cool comic
Daevion Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Ha. Does anyone watch the Colbert Report? He referenced this last night. It was hilarious. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, I assure I in no way stole any material from Steven ( he's my hero ) Colbert from the best "real" news show ever, The Colbert Report. Every comment I make is 110% pure Daevion "OMG I am such an individual so everything I say is like completely unique and uninfluenced from external sources and teh gai liberal press". Nevermind that I don't even watch the regular "tainted" news anymore with all its lies and that reverend Colbert is the last bastion of truth out there.
