But yeah back to the OP's question, why would anyone ask that. About the picking up, I've asked a mutual friend "Hey, your friend seems cool or interesting, will you introduce us?" But thats only with a friend who I know rather well. And who knows where we stand. But I've had guys ask about my friends. If they seem sincere and decent, just kinda shy, I'll do the introductions. But that "She's hot, is she single" crap doesn't fly. Im on the shy side, so if I don't know someone, I'll let them make the first move. I'll make eye contact, smile and hope they get the hint. Friggin' shyness!! theres a lot of mix of accents in the lot of you from reapers southern laid back accent to phee's michiganisms and everything inbetween.

i kind of expected you all to sound like they do in the movies. daft i know, i gues you probably thought i'd sound english, perhaps cambridge or cockney, wlsh accents are hard to come by in the media aside from tom jones or the guy from the fantastic four (not his best work at all imo)
