this lesson, I learned a few days ago at work: If you have one of those winter ice scraper things, (you know, the one with the scraper on one end and the brush on the other) it can be useful at other times of the year.

I came back to my truck in a parking lot, to find that some asshat broke a glass dish on the ground in back of my truck. Shards were all on the ground and some scattered across a tire. So, it dawned on me that I had my scraper/brush with me, so I got that out, and brushed away all the glass shards and then was on my way.

Holding a grudge against someone doesnt make them go away.

(hahahahahahahaaa!!)

I mean... it doesnt make a problem better.

(maybe -I- am part of the problem since I have the grudge in MY hand, and am clinging to it for dear life?)

Nah.

That one should not do TWO tours in Iraq back to back pretty much. It wears on you, makes you numb.

You realize that being here make you miss EVERYTHING for a whole year. You get home and nothing is the way it was, but thats the way you want it. You want your dishes in the same spot where you left them, but they've been boxed up and moved out.

People change so fast, sometimes. Normally it's always the soldier's fault for changing, well, by all means, sign up and get your happy ass over here and join me.

I don't mind that I've changed, I've grown so much, and grown apart from so much at the same time, that I'm almost scared to come back.

Just tell her the truth and then tell her she'll have to wait a week for an extra cool present, because you need to find time to get her a real good one. And make sure it -is- real good.

As for my lesson? Hmm... I'd have to say that it is that you shouldn't tell work you have open availability. They think it means that you have no life outside of them.

broccoli, carrots, peas, and corn, when eaten together in one mixture, as part of a meal, can be quite the odorous combination...

That despite the Michigan game and the crowds that partook, it was still a GREAT idea to go to Abracadabra in A2.

Today I learned that no matter how bad you have to go to the bathroom, when you duck in between a bush and a building to relieve yourself, you should take a second to check for yellow jackets first. Ouch!!!

I learned that in chemistry the isotopes of an element have the same atomic number, yet they have different mass, meaning that they have either more or less than the original element. For instance, Deuterium is an isotope of Hydrogen, it actually has more neutrons 'causing it to have more mass and in normal circumstances, weigh more than hydrogen. SO if you take two oxygen molecules and link them with Deuterium it creates D2O, which is actually heavy water, however you can drink it like the regular stuff and it tastes the same...just weighs more. They usually use D2O in cooling rods at nuclear power plants.

HMMM...I guess I'm dumb but I just learned that today and was like "wooowww...that's nuts, there's more water than just...water" I guess college is good for somethings, even if it's only an intro chemistry class (I've been slacking on my chem and taking mostly bio so far)
