Flamboyantly Straight?

MY ORIGINAL QUOTE

"Bisexual is like saying you're not straight, not gay,

pick a side and choose one already!!!"

you are entitled to your opinion. I like boys and girls. I refuse to chose, because sometimes, i like a warm squishy body to go home to, and I don't mean a fat man... lol I mean asking me to pick one and stick to it is like asking me to chose what days to breathe... come on. that's hardly fair. you are entitled to your opinion, tho. I respect that it is your opinion, but I don't like it. which im entitled to cuz its my opinion. so no, i will not chose. Sex is sex, whether it can make babies or not, and i'm not talking about anal (ewe). girls and boys, that's my choice. I am sticking to both.

OMG, you actually thought, even within the context of the rest of my post that I

My bad!

I go change post.

And FC, yeah I was crazy radical back then.

It's hilarious that you actually remember the whole discourse!

I luvs you too!

I love everyone, no I mean I really love everyone

Just kidding. :teehee:

This is for GRG, to catch her up to speed---

Bisexuals are people that realize life is too short for one gender.

Cut. Print. Put it on a bumper sticker, K?

I used to roll my eyes constantly as a kid....does this mean I fit into the eternal's theory? AM I holdin down my flame?

I know what you're saying here. But I want to take the first part literally for a second.

A person can roll their eyes and not be gay. I didn't mean to generalize on that.

But there is a PARTICULAR WAY gay men roll their eyes that is unmistakeable. It usually involves an open mouth, sometimes a little wiggle of the head. To me, it's more of a tipoff than the silly limp wrist stereotype.

If you know what I'm talking about, you KNOW what I'm talking about. :)

No it just means you have more places to release your powersource.

And hey, that was FCs theory, not me!

The way I can usually tell if a guy's "family" (gay or bi) is there'll be some kind of look, and I can't quite explain it, but if I see it, I KNOW.

Of course, not every guy does the look, and oh---bi women---TOTALLY f*&^in clueless. I couldn't tell if a woman's bi if she was standing there with lube and a strapon!

And if you're wondering Steven, you're avatar is soooo NOT that look, so I have a hunch you may be straight.

As opposed to my older more radical view, there are gads of straight men out there.

It's okay, Steven, maybe in the next life.

there is a third option

a "pink panther": a guy who acts camp just to land women

I think everyone thought that eternal... If my swiss cheese memory serves.. you even said so, in rambling, yet straight forward (forgive the pun) English.

I probably have a good memory of EVERY conversation I have had on DGN.

This is the best outlet for intellectual discussion I have ever had. Which, if I really think about it, is fucking sad. I didn't even get such good back-and-forth in my scattered years at Wayne State U.

Over the years, I have tried to broaden my horizons, learn to not be a tight-assed, judgmental bitch. Discussions about things like gender, alternate lifestyles, politics, religion - it's all incredibly important to me. Even if my opinion doesn't change based on a conversation, it's important to me to know both sides of an issue - ALL sides, because not every issue we discuss here is black and white.

I'm glad you've lightened up a bit. You're just as opinionated and intense as ever - but in a much better way. At least IMNSHO. :p

Oh, and I love your observation that a good percentage of the women of DGN can find homosexuality as hot and guys with some amount of femme attractive. Initially, I was bothered by the fact that seeing guys together gets me tingly, and that certain teensy bits of femininity/sensitivity in men gets me OFF.

I did have a very short, but incredibly intense relationship with a cross-dresser in the mid 90's. It didn't work out for me because while I found his long hair, thick long eyelashes, and general demeanor irresistible when he was all-man, when he would put on one of his two female alter-egos, I would just be crushed. He would lose all attractiveness for me, and I would be both emotionally and sexually frustrated. When we broke-up, we remained friends because I was able to admit to him that in a relationship with him, I wasn't trying to accept his proclivities, so much as I was hoping he would "grow out of them." As FRIENDS, however, I could enjoy his company, call him a great friend, and give him fashion tips (Dudette, with your obvious Latino features, you GOTTA go more subtle with the lipstick or you'll look like a whore from Queens - NOT a gorgeous queen).

That experience enlightened me to my taste in sensitive men with a uber-light touch of femme. I took some pictures of Jon au natural before he went and got all his hair cut off to play the "corporate team player" role in a newcoming job. In some taken from the backside, you could almost mistake him for a woman. They almost makes me uncomfortable, because I don't like my men too feminine. But I know that from the front, he's ALL MAN. Albeit one with some really nice, soft features mixed in with the muscles & mustache.

I think that just accepting bisexuality doesn't make a person well-rounded in their knowledge of or expertise in all things sexuality. I think there are even more orientations than the usual triumvirate of straight, gay, bi. Those terms seem to be mostly defined by what you do in the bedroom with your genitals. I think there are greyer areas that don't include mixing it up with the opposite sex "all the way." And it doesn't have to be out of "fear." I can find women attractive. But I don't want to touch another woman's naughty bits, and I don't want one to touch mine because the idea just doesn't turn me on. Nor do scenes of lesbians having sex together in movies, etc.

So, coming back to the subject, I don't personally see that a guy who is flamboyant and insists he's straight is lying to anyone or himself, either. I think it's kinda hard to fathom, yes. But as Gaf said above, it's not my nor anyone else's place to put a lable on someone else, especially when I don't know them personally.

well the way I normally can tell if a dude is gay is if he's sucking on another man's wiener or tongue. But that's harldy scientific....

naughty bits....I loved that, Im borrowing it permanently.

this got me thinkign a bit... I am a bi product of the 80's era sunset strip. As performers and as part of our semi femi subculture, yes I dressed up and wore makeup.....seems like a zillion years ago (shit, it was) now that I think back on it. I dont even wear eyeliner onstage anymore (Im not opposed to it per se....it just doesent "fit" me anymore) but I do still dance, use alot of hand gestures, act parts out....so there is still a degree of flamboyance as an extension of me when Im working with a band......and I imagine every performer has that in him or herself, which can at times seem a bit borderline....

as for what turns me on, im not beign a prude but "Hot Lesbo Action" doesent do a thing for me. its a big ppfffttt who cares, licky licky licky so what? Dude on Dude action freaks me out a bit - ESPECIALLY when dudes kiss, thats freakier to me than weiner play, I just dont get how that is a turn on but Im not offended by it.

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
