They havent found anything definitive with their 'tests'. It hurts where my gallbladder should be. They couldnt find anything that jumped at them in their tests, so they called it IBS. I went back, because the meds didnt work, now they claim again not to know whats wrong and want to do more tests. I *hate* them. They wont take out my gallbladder unless they know *for sure* itll do any good. The new meds are *helping*, but it still hurts.

did they do an ultrasound ? if not, then they should. Then they can see it and say wow, that thing is fubar, lets take it out...

They did, both outside, and one from inside my stomach. All thats good for pretty much is seeing stones. Not if it's going crazy pumping out too much bile. Or spazming. Those in the medical profession dont have my admiration right about now....

An ultrasound is only good for diagnosing so much. You need a HIDA scan. My ex-boyfiend was having pain constantly for months and months and no one could figure out what was wrong. Ultrasound of gallbladder came up fine. I took him to the gastroenterologist office I used when I had issues and that doc ordered a HIDA scan off the bat. Turned out his gallbladder was only functioning at 10%. It had to come out. Problem solved, but it took months and several doctors to finally get a proper diagnosis.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that they get a solid diagnosis soon and stop your pain for good!
