freydis Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 From an article in The Telegraph: The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter." He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock. Mr Bush, whose second and final term as President ends at the end of the year, then left the meeting at the Windsor Hotel in Hokkaido where the leaders of the world's richest nations had been discussing new targets to cut carbon emissions.
know_buddy_kares Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 well if that wasn't a nice suttle little "go fuck yourself you tree huggin hippies" gesture our president just did..
know_buddy_kares Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Bush is the posterchild for the reason why we should kill the ignorant.. they voted his dumbass in.. America needs an enema...
Fin Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Bush is the posterchild for the reason why we should kill the ignorant.. they voted his dumbass in.. Actually, brother--we didn't: Yr 2000 Presidential election results-- Bush: 50,456,002 Gore: 50,999,897
Msterbeau Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Actually, brother--we didn't: Yr 2000 Presidential election results-- Bush: 50,456,002 Gore: 50,999,897 :
ttogreh Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Actually, he didn't even get this right. China is the world's largest polluter.
know_buddy_kares Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Actually, brother--we didn't: Yr 2000 Presidential election results-- Bush: 50,456,002 Gore: 50,999,897 yes i know, but thanks to those 50,456,002 morons making it close enough... bush could slip in office easier.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I'd like to know what was said right before Bush made that statement.
phee Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I'd like to know what was said right before Bush made that statement. That is a good question
know_buddy_kares Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 That is a good question I can only assume that was a failed gesture to make a funny and save face after a severe beating in the meeting about america's constant failure to clean up their pollution habbits. Or maybe that really was bush saying, fuck you, i don't care what you say, we're america bitch kinda thing... whatever the meaning behind it was.. it really points towards a reaction to a meeting that kept pointing america out as not being so environmentally friendly.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I have read though most of the G8 Summit press releases and summery documents. They don't support the idea that the US is the scourge of the Earth...
know_buddy_kares Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 well we may not be the scurge of pollution, but we're deffinitely not one of the better countries when it comes to being environmentally concious. Just in my own logic and opinion, it really looks like that they did give bush some criticizm a few times throughout the meeting over our pollution habbits.
Head Wreck Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 and you know what, he still handled that better than Gordon brown handles most of his other international duties
Rev.Reverence Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I hate very little in the Universe...that fucker Bush is RIGHT UP THERE on my "short list"...

Hellion Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 GWB and the administration are a tasteless joke to our nation and the world
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I think in the end the good he has done is going to out weight the bad he has done.
Shade Everdark Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I think in the end the good he has done is going to out weight the bad he has done. Oh, waiter...I'd like whatever he's having.
phee Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 I think in the end the good he has done is going to out weight the bad he has done. You are kidding right??? I mean right???? Right now I can see he has done something positive for Africa but..... IMO Good that the Administran has done = 6% Neautral = 13% Bad = 115% (see, he ruined education so much I can't even do the math!)
