PS3 here. I couldn't afford the PE but them again I could hardly afford the standard version either. Have you unlocked the apprentice yet? I can hardly touch him with Vader but from what I hear Yoda is much faster and can't be thrown.

I though if I preordered my copy in advance, I'd end up paying less when it came in, but it still cost me an arm and a leg. I did unlock the aprentice, but it was still hard. Yoda is a big pain in the butt to control, he's small, when you try to dash, he ends up flipping instead, more than half of his moves are pretty useless, and his lack of using cool "force wise" really made things even more difficult. I went threw his list of moves and all I saw was force cancel and force counter, which was hard to pull off. I lost about 6 times before I beat the apprentice while using him. it really is a good thing yoda can't be thrown.

edit: maybe its just me, but I think you got the better end of the deal, darth vader probably has some cool moves he can pull off.

Force choke which can be chained into a nifty combo. Vader is a bit slow but very well balanced. Don't worry though it only a matter of time before Vader finds his way onto the 360 via dlc and vice versa. How is the online with the 360? When Vader and Yoda were first announced I feared online would be nothing but Vader but I haven't fought anybody as him yet.

its mostly kilik players, they usually back you into a corner with the same sets of moves before either knocking you into a pit or finishing you off, there are a few yoda players, but they end up button mashing mostly. a lot of people are starting to use the apprentice, he's got a pretty mean set of moves, ground combo set up into a short air combo, but it uses force for the levitating.

how far have you gotten with the tower of lost souls? I kept gettin killed after about the 20th floor until I created a character that could drain health after every hit. I'm up to floor 36 at the moment

I haven't started it yet actually. I ran through most of the story modes last night and have only played online today. What moveset did you give to your created character?

sophitia's. she didn't really change much since part 3, so I put her moves on my character to make it easy on myself.

She has a good short and long rang advantage due to her staff and short sword. I had to be cheap and do nothing but block and throw but I finally beat the apprentice and seeing as how he was such a pain in the ass to unlock ( I was breathing as loud as Vader after the fight ) I decided to make him my main character. Plus his slick easy to remember moveset doesn't hurt either.

before I crashed last night, I started decending the tower, around the 5th floor down, I got stomped by this "thing" >.< looked like a giant cat with some kinda weird fuzzy tipped stick for a weapon... it wasn't pretty.

I think todays goal will be going up the tower. From what I hear there will be some dlc in the playstation store today.

they released some dlc for 360 this morning, music pack download from soul edge in one big download and seperate files, and some custom parts. I'm not sure if I'll buy the parts though, as it turns out, while playin through the ToLS I noticed that a lot of the treasures I was going after, I could just buy in character creation, only thing is, it doesn't say that I've earned them, so it throws me off. but yeah, not sure which parts are exactly in the pack, I may change my mind and buy it later to be on the safe side.

I think that once you hit 30 honers you unlock everything for purchase. I unlocked 2 things in tols it will tell you what you got I found a list on gamefaqs stating how to unlock whatever item is on each floor.

I think my problems come more in the form of character choice and character development.

A: was Amy, Vader, and Yoda REALLY ness as characters? they don't actually bring that much to the table...though I will admit the Apprentice is a badass.

B: Sophita and Ivy NEEDED bigger tits??

C: what??...no Valeria??

D: why isn't Cassandra dead yet??

their more personal things then anything...and also...is it just me...or did they weaker Cervantes??

1. No but seeing as how 2 of the 5 games in the series have guest characters I look at soulcal as a game that leaves itself open for such things. Oh and Amy was in the arcade version of 3. B. I hate this as well. Plus when you see what little amount of clothing Ivy has to cover her breast you can't help but think she has to have the worlds smallest nipples. 3 & D Lack of and added for fanfare.

A. I actually liked Amy, I don't know how vader is, but yoda could've used a bit more...something....oh well, fanservice.

B. Yes, yes they did. fanservice.

C. I liked the greave edge weapon she had. you could recreate her character, just, no greave edge weapon to make her like she was in part 3. this adds on to one of the big dissapointments I had with this game. no extra weapons outside of the main casts weapon styles to use, at least, not yet...(I've still got my fingers crossed for dlc)

D. fanservice? XD didn't maxi die as well? lol

I just made a new character based off I-NO from guilty gear XX. A few things are off but its close enough. I gave her Seong Mi-Na's moveset but if there is a guitar joke weapon I will change to the moveset of whomever has it.

I-no? haha that sounds awesome, I'll have to try that. I didn't even think to make any of those characters, Millia might be pretty easy to create with the right parts.
