Troy Spiral (13) Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Really loved SC1 and 2 but I didn't even know there was a 3. So SC 4? hehe. Not yet.
Rayne Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Soul Calibur 3 was released exclusively for Playstation 2. We have X-Box and X-Box 360 ... we have Soul Calibur 2. We've been waiting for 4 to come out, but it's come out at a bad time for us. LoL. Figures.
Riku Namako Posted August 1, 2008 Author Posted August 1, 2008 haha, as far as those skill points are concerned, I've learned the hard way that you can't have a good looking character if you want really good stats, I had to make a custom character look totally rediculess just so they could be extra strong.

And this is exactly what I dont like about it. It isnt all bad when you consider that you will mainly use skill points for the tower so only you will see how stupid you look but it still sucks.
Black Jack (1) Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Is the dungeon like Tobal #1 or Tekken Force? And is Mitsurugi still in this game if so then by all means I for one will never lose. Countless battles against Night Terror prepare me for a take down to any boss this series can dish out my best time was 13 seconds k.o.

Riku Namako Posted August 1, 2008 Author Posted August 1, 2008 must be a ps3 thing, I've only fought a handful of mitsurugi's online, a lot more people are playing with zasalamel these days, him and cervantes, on the 360 at least. lol, I spent the past 4 hours scaring the crap out of people with that kittymeow suit while playing online with custom characters.
Slept with ghost Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 I spent a few rounds with my I-NO. I don't think seong mi-na's fighting style fits I-NO's in guilty gear but its what I'm best at for now.
Riku Namako Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 you think they'd make a guitar as a joke weapon for someone.... on a side note, I'm puttin the controller down for tonight, I just fought someone who made Bob Saget and I lost cuz I couldn't stop laughing >_<
Riku Namako Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 Leonard Nimoy with maxi's moves ftw, lol
Slept with ghost Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Switched I-NO's style to Cervantes. Making Cassandra Hack and Vlad from hack/slash.
ashlei Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 i just got Soul Calibur 4 for the PS3 and it's... VERY CONFUSING. I like it, but they added too much to soon... it's gonna take me a while to get used to it. And why in the hell does Kilik keep all the good moves while Seong Mi-na gets shafted!? She was my favorite, but now it feels like she's downgraded. Oh well... at least I still have Voldo.

ashlei Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Take advantage of her kicks and she won't seem as downgraded. Well, I realize that I'm going to have to try some different methods with her in order to play well with her again... it's just that... the part that pisses me off about it is that Kilik kept all the good moves. :( I know I'm being petty but it's still not fair~
Riku Namako Posted August 17, 2008 Author Posted August 17, 2008 alright, thats it, someone went and made Mr. Slave from southpark with voldo's moves and joke weapon >_<
Shade Everdark Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I haven't acquired this yet, but if Maxi is dead, I can only count it as a good thing. He sucks compared to Li Long. I can't understand why they ditched one of the coolest characters from the original SoulEdge. Oh, and I will include the obligatory, Mitsurugi=#1.
Riku Namako Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 yeah I know, how ironic is it, they put both li long and hwang in part 3, along with a bunch of other guest characters and their own move sets, yet with this one, there were only 5 guest characters, but you can basically say that they're nothing but cheaply made knock offs of the main characters with no unique moves of their own.

Namco brought Li Long back for SoulCaliber 3? And I missed it?! Damn....

Those five are designed by magna artists but still pretty lame.

I agree. I'm not a big fan of the bonus characters for this game since their moves aren't unique. I really liked Hwang's move set (which was available as "pirate" for create-a-character in SC3). I was hoping someone in the game had that move set so that I could use it for a custom character maybe but, no luck. ): I really don't see the point in bonus characters if they don't have unique or even just -somewhat- different move sets (they don't have to be totally unique, just a few changes to make it interesting).
