Because getting packed into a hot room that's falling apart to dance on a floor you stick to and chat with people you see online is far more enjoyable than hanging out in the crypt of an old church to watch scantily clad hotties of both sexes play with fire, crack whips, swing poi, walk on glass, escape from straight jackets, belly and burlesque dance, flesh pulls, and more. Wow, you're right. The weekly mundane so kicks the ass of a seldom extravaganza.

THIS.

Seriously people. The "same night at City Club"??? You mean...ANY GODDAMN FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT??? Are you serious? -.-;; I mean, I LOVE me some City Club - which is why I went to CC after X-Ball. But they should have big events on Saturday nights. Saturday nights are always the best big event nights. I would still go on Friday or Sunday (this week only), but in general, Saturday's best.

This makes me laugh.

All that said, I will see whoever has any sense on Saturday night at the Carnival!! I wish I could make it to City afterwards but I think I will be unable to this weekend at all...very very sad. But I will be back next weekend!! <3<3

 You are on a roll today!

I will see you at the ilounge, if I can manage to find it. I am good at getting lost and I have never been there.

Not that I don't like CC or hanging with DGNers, but, I get bored of it from time to time. I like to shake things up once in a while, or maybe, a little more often ;)

Depending, I could still end up at CC before close. We'll see how the night unfolds, and how my energy holds up. I do have to get up at 5:20 am and go to work for 12 hours :yucky:

Perhaps I missed it somewhere, but what is the price for a ticket?

This sounds fun! I used to go to the dark carnivals at Mephistos and I always had a good time. Is this place in the basement area of clutch cargos? I have not been to Pontiac in ages. How is the parking around there? I always remember it being a pain.

Yes.

Parking isn't the greatest. Plus, "Arts, Beats, & Eats" will be going on so there will be a lot more people downtown than usual. I recommend getting there early, as close to 9:00 as possible. A) It will give you more time and better chances of finding decent parking, and 2) It's free admission before 10:00 so if you end up having to pay for parking, you can make it up at the door.

I forgot about Arts, Beats, and Eats. Damn. I probably won't be going to Dark Carnival now. Sorry.

=P You suck.

As for me, I'm exhausted from work. It was an unbelievably insane day at photo with people wondering why their 500 print order won't be ready until after two hours and everyone else wondering why they have to wait for a 2 hour long order to finish before they can get their 4 pictures. All I want to do is stay home, soak in a nice bubble bath with soothing music, candles, and a glass of red wine. But, no. A quick shower, change into club clothes, gather my whips and straight jacket, then off to Pontiac I go. I'm just hoping I can find a hot chick to give me a soothing massage. I'd prefer something else, but I'll settle for a simple shoulder rub.

I had so much fun last night. I think it was the best Dark Carnival Chaos has ever put on. So many performers, we had an act about every 15 minutes from 10pm-1:45am. The music, the performances, the people, the venue ... everything was just awesome!

So, those few of you I did see there, what's your aftermath?

Dark carnival was fun. I enjoyed all the acts. Spook you did a great job

It was soooo good. I very very much enjoyed it. Thank you so much everyone at Chaos for a great event!

Spook, your shows were great. Thanks so much for the camera btw, and now you know who I am on here!!

I ended up skipping it. I just saw Reverend B. Dangerous a couple weeks ago anyway, so I was thinking I might get bored, especially since I arrived so early without company. So, after I got pissed from the traffic and road blocks to finally find where I needed to be and saw the cost of parking, I figured I'd just head straight to CC. I don't tolerate inconvenience very well after working a hard 12 hour shift. I am sorry I missed Spook's show though. Damn temper of mine!

I know the feeling! So get this, when I was stuck in ABQ I decided to re-activate my phone. Now, for years I have been running a Straight Talk Mobile Hotspot for wifi instead of paying for actual phone service, because I get more data for 50 bucks on the wifi plan than I would get for the same price for my phone plan, and I don't call anybody very often if ever, so it only made sense. Well while I was in ABQ I got desperate and decided I needed to make some phone calls so I walked down to Walmart to get a  45 dollar plan for my phone, only to realize that I had to walk back to walmart again (4 miles one way) to get a new Sim card, because the one I had was too old, apparently...  Anyway, literally the second I reactivate my phone - I got a phone call from a frickin' debt collector!  I mean it was so instantaneous that I assimed it was Straight Talk calling to confirm my activation or something - instead it was somebody with a foreign accent that I could barely understand, asking for whoever the person was that previously had the phone number I had just been assigned. . . I was so irritated with this fact.    And yeah now I'm getting multiple calls, daily, from everybody and their brother, looking for whoever the person was that used to have this number.  Wells Fargo, AT&T, etc etc.    I think there needs to be some better way of doing this. Recycling phone numbers as fast as we do this day & age isn't working out very well. 🤷

I have no idea why I'm even on all of these call lists that are on Robo-Dial by A.I.  One is a female voice and the other is a male voice and all they did was change the name that they give you.  I did get put through to a few live people to try to ask them to remove me from their list, but they, the telemarketer, hung up on me.   It's like I'm living "Telemarketers Revenge" for all the years of people handing up on them.   I always spoke with the telemarketer and then wished them a good day before hanging up.  And this is what I get for all of my decades of kindness.  I don't think I deserve this, but the World has lost a lot of the niceties that it used to have when I was growing up.  And no...COVID did not cause this.  I'm also getting tired of that excuse.  Its been 6 years!  People felt they were given the Green Light to be anti-social and rude to your face and now it is part of society just like everything else Mainstream adopts and considers it a cultural add-on.   I just hope I can survive this onslaught of calls blowing up my phone until it dies down.  Else, I will place a block on my number and only allow calls from family, friends and medical associated with my job.

This is crazy.   I had to mute my phone because I am getting 50+ calls a day regarding Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Burial Benefits, a Senior Food Expense Card, a Senior Social Security monthly reimbursement benefit, etc., and I don't qualify for any of it.  I don't even meet the age requirement.   At current, I have 53 missed calls and 38 of them were from yesterday.
