cptdeath Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 oh yeah i second draco. I personally can say no other organization takes better care of their pets then the store in gibraltor. there is a crappy pet shop there with puppies avoid passing by it so your animals at home don't get sick. but the good shop, wow. I have never seen such healthy animals. not one is over looked. also if you are having trouble with an exotic that you truly care about get help, they will help you. the one girl there charline i think actually goes to cityclub some times too.
Nightgaunt Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I used to breed "fancy" rats. Two of my last - sisters who were pearl merle rexes - were smart enough to know their own names and come when I called them. They also figured out how to unlatch their cage and scurry into bed to sleep with me. I miss having rats and I hope to one day breed them again. I've also had degus, and various small reptiles.

Rats are awesome pets. I've had various fancy varieties, including hairless, patchwork, rexes, and dumbos.
Jessika Fxckin rocks (1) Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 My friend has a shark, 3 cats, a dog, hamster, and other fish I told her all she needs is some pigs and a goat she could have a petting zoo.

Guest greyhalo Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 sluagh686 and i have two sugar gliders named romero and clive our boys are the cutest little devils ever and i do mean devils they definitey take after their daddy (for those of you that know him) Tell me more about the joys of owning sugar gliders. I'm so intrigued by them. I love little nocturnal critters. I want to have a hedgehog at some point too.
pomba gira Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 My dogs (especially the youngest one, on the bottom) have ears so big they look like they could fly away ... does that count? Don't know how I missed this pic before- are you sure that's a dog and not a fawn? There's distinct Bambi thing going on there!
Guest greyhalo Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 I am now the proud mother of a Southern flying squirrel. They're a bit like sugar gliders, but smaller...
Guest greyhalo Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 Here's a pic of Bayou, one of my new Southern flying squirrels. I started with one squirrel last weekend and then ended up adopting another one, Mojo.
Guest greyhalo Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 I have no clue as to why that pic loaded twice...
Rayne Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Don't know how I missed this pic before- are you sure that's a dog and not a fawn? There's distinct Bambi thing going on there! Oh yes ... he has HUGE ears. LoL, where we got him from started calling him Radar because of his extremely large ears and it stuck. He's Ronin Radar and we call him Radar. I mean, Chihuahua's have large ears anyway, but Radar's are just HUGE! His colour is actually listed as fawn on his papers. Here's a few more of him: Wow ... I scaled them down and they are still huge ....

jynxxxedangel Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Don't be ashamed to post the Latin species names..some of us are that dorky! If my income wasn't so hit or miss, I would SO have a saltwater tank. I'd concentrate on aquatic inverts, though, since inverts are my main fascination!! When I lived in Vegas, I had a saltwater tank in my suite. It was about 300 gallons, I'd say. There was a decent-sized black-tipped reef shark, and a couple of stingrays. Lots of beautiful Indonesian liverock, with so many different corals, anemones, and sponges! A few mantis shrimps, and some cleaner wrasses. A guy came to clean it once every week. That was the lowest maintenance entertainment I've ever had.

jynxxxedangel Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Like I posted on your myspace!! OMG SO CUTE!!! I WANT TO CUDDLE HIM!!!! Very cute!! What sort of care do those require, just out of curiosity? I'd never be able to have one of those, as I am the proprietor of a house of pussies! My cats would be thinking I brought home a special dinner..
Guest greyhalo Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Very cute!! What sort of care do those require, just out of curiosity? I'd never be able to have one of those, as I am the proprietor of a house of pussies! My cats would be thinking I brought home a special dinner.. I have 3 cats, but they're not hunters. They're used to my rats and opossum. The flying squirrels are work, esp. since I got mine as adults, not babies. They'e not very tame and like to glide around my place and hide from me. They're hard to catch too. But, I'll just keep working with them and hopefully get them to calm down.
pomba gira Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 One for the piggy people! Someone has a litter of these cuties on the Lansing craigslist... I usually have little tolerance for cutesy animal pix but this little girl has a lot of character!
Head Wreck Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 short-haired long legged border collie Spike Milligan. daft as a daft thing but very affectinate and great with kids. but a big dog, 23" at the soulder (FECKIN UGE for a collie). favourate hobbies. running and tying to get as much attention as he can. Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Whippet Cross also verry affectionate, but nervous, She was from a resque centre and we've gradually got her confidence back. Very protective, once pinned two of my friends to a wall she did not see being escorted in, even though she knew them well and would enjoy being petted by them, (i'd let them in as i'd passed the doorway and asked them to make themselves comfy). she was fine with them once i had returned and told her they were Okay. also very good with kids and manners. she will not accept food of my nephew, but you can see she wants us to give the word. as soon as its dropped mind.... loves to subnbathe. click the pics for larger

pomba gira Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 (By the way, dogs and cats are not considered exotic pets. Sorry, guys.) I agree. Maybe someone should start a doggies/kitties/hamsters/guinea pigs thread?
