I work midnights so I only catch snippets on the news the next morning. But the one I caught with Hillary making the joke about the sisters in the traveling pant suits made me snicker a bit.

Okay, I get it.

I get WHY they stopped the roll call vote - because they knew many would be voting for Clinton and that doesn't look good for party unity - okay, I get that.

But I can't shake this uneasy feeling that, I don't know, those people's votes should have counted, too. Isn't that what a democracy is about? That your voice will be heard? But the delegates who were voting for Clinton won't be heard.

No, Clinton was not going to win, but I still wish that the history books would be able to show how far she had come.

I think it already has, to tell you the truth.

McCain is a very moderate Republican. so he has the ability to pull independent and right leaning Democrats.

Yet, like you said, there are so many Republicans who are disappointed with Bush that they might just be angry enough to vote democrat to send a message to the party.

As for the convention, I listened to most of the major speeches, same shit, different year.

There is something about Joe Biden (and his idolizing son, dude why didn't your dad move closer to washington and spend that 4 hour train ride with you?) that DOES NOT sit right with me. He is a man with a mouth, and most people that I have met like that are ALL mouth and NO action, I just don't like him.

The rest of the speeches I had the displeasure of wasting time on were boring, standoffish, or just plain bullshit.

But I will say this, I am going to vote for Obama, I believe him( I said I believe Mark! LOL) to be the lesser fucktard of the bunch, I'm just scared to be choosing the lesser of two evils, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth to just vote for someone because hes not going to fuck me in the ass AS much as the other guy. But if I don't vote, I can bitch when our country goes even more down hill, THIS IS FUCKED UP.
