NWO, DGN style

This started as a PM conversation that piqued my interest. What would you do if you ran the New World Order? What would you change? Better yet, can we (on DGN) come to an agreement on a few basics for righting the world?

Here was my original input:

Outlawing lobbying and lobbyists

Backing currency with gold

Outlawing political contributions over $100

Deregulating guns

Abolishing the war on drugs

Abolishing victimless crimes

Hiring someone with a clue to rewrite the tax code

Whaddaya think? I feel like I'm forgetting something, but it's near the start of my day today so I'm not as clear headed as I'd like to be.

That about sums it up, imo. I may have added that we really need to do something about the environment and uhmmm...save the animals and stuff. I always thought it was stupid to have victimless crimes be against the law, imo, same with drugs.

What about instituting federal grants for alternative energy research? I don't like the idea that a large, remote federal government has any control over my life to begin with, so I'd like to leave freedom of choice to the people if I were a part of this. I think that by offering grants, it gives incentive to do good, but doesn't force anyone to do anything they don't want to.

That's another good point: how would you organize the power structure? What checks and balances would you put in place?

1.rid this planet of all stupid,violent,asshole people

that would be a dramatic drop in population.

2.get rid of all corrupt CEOs,polititions,lobbyists

3. eliminate any form of immoral technology that could be used against people,example,the RFID Chip everyone deserves their privacy.

One of the first things I'd do is ban (or severely curtail) all commercial fishing/whaling in the oceans for 5-10 years. Pay the fleets to stay in port.

What about privatizing things like welfare and social security? I've long held a firm belief that people should take more responsibility for their lives, including getting/keeping a job and saving for their own damn retirement.
