soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 I've been thinking about the idea of getting a mohawk. I think it just might work for me. I'm bored with my hair and it's more than long enough. Hmmmmmm...............just tossing the idea out to get some feedback.
Sybil Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 what color??? everyone i have ever seen that had a mohawk looked adorable.
Brenda Starrr Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 But...why? From the most recent pic you had in the "picture" thread, you had great hair. I really like it. But, it's not my hair.
soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 It would start out basic black but I would prolly want to add a second color later. Maybe red. I've tride a blue color in my hair once and it just looked like a nasty green.

But, it's not my hair. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With the summer humidity comes months of torture and hours every day fighting with it. I don't want a short "respectable" hair cut look. Someone told me last year that I looked nice with my hair short and it did a number on my self image. :laughing I thought, I don't wanna look normal dammit.
Brenda Starrr Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 I like long hair better. Just get a ceramic flat iron and some styling products, dammit!!
soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 :laughing I like my hair long too but it's like the lion tammer. I need a bull whip to make it do what I want it too. I don't know if I'll look stupid, silly or what with a mohawk but it just might be a good look for me. Definately it will be easier to take care of. Less shampoo, no time combing it and at least to two women here, it's hot!
TomCat Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 Mohawks are sweet. I'd love to have one again, but alas, I like having a career more than sportin' a cool 'hawk these days. If I could, I would do it in a heartbeat. If you can doi it, I say go for it Sooth.
pomba gira Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 everyone i have ever seen that had a mohawk looked adorable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree... go for it!

Now that I've said that I'm going to wake up in the morning with a horseshoe hairline.. Great. hehe.
paradox Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 ya know, for some reason, when i read the title of the topic i thought it was a reference to a certain style sometimes found 'down there'.... :blink :laughing
soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 ya know, for some reason, when i read the title of the topic i thought it was a reference to a certain style sometimes found 'down there'.... :blink:laughing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Shit I wouldn't ask for advice or opinions about that region. :laughing I also wouldn't want certain others to know what my hair style "down there" is. :blink
mallochai Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 "certain" others? hmmm.... but i agree. Mohawk equals goodness, especially when it grows faux hawk style, and you can pompadore it up. hotness.
soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 Yea I think I'm gonna go through with it. I think it's time for a radical change in my looks. I just need to get me something cool to wear on my head for the purpose of work and some family. Purely out of respect for the few that I know will freak out, everyone else will get use to it or not. :laughing
soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 This is starting to sound like the crowd that has gatherd to watch a man set himself on fire. :laughing Do it do it do it!
Paper Hearts Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 what are you so afraid of-are they all going to laugh at you?
soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 Not afraid of getting laughed at, I've gotten that reaction since I was 13 and grew my hair down to my ass. Fear has never kept me from doing things like this.
Paper Hearts Posted May 20, 2005 Posted May 20, 2005 it's a big step but hey, if you don't care about your job, with a mohawk you'll be the coolest guy in the bar...
soothsayer Posted May 20, 2005 Author Posted May 20, 2005 My boss is a freind of mine so that's not an issue. I would wear a skull cap just for family gatherings because it would make me feel better around loved ones until they get use to it.
