Rev.Reverence Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 :clap ...let's see if they get anything done though...but shit...starting already...& with the Guantanamo thing...he IS assuredly attempting to LOOK like he is going to follow through (looks like a spin doctor wrote THAT line)
TitsMcGee Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 maybe he's just trying to make up for nominating people who can't pay their taxes
phee Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 maybe he's just trying to make up for nominating people who can't pay their taxes Even if thats true... still a good move
Msterbeau Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I recall that Bush made speeches about bipartisanship and reaching across the table... yeah... that never happened. At least Obama is doing it, not just making empty promises.
phee Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 I recall that Bush made speeches about bipartisanship and reaching across the table... yeah... that never happened. Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I recall that Bush made speeches about bipartisanship and reaching across the table... yeah... that never happened. At least Obama is doing it, not just making empty promises. Really? No child Left Behind was pass with a huge bi-partisan vote. The vote to go to war in Iraq was also a huge success in Bi-partisan activity. There is a huge list of things Bush reached across the table for... a great many of them are things that became unpopular later.. so the Dems try to pretend we can't read the Congressional record. and ya... real bi-partisan... "I won". Obama's idea of being bi-partisan is if everyone gives up thier own morals and beleifs and does what ever he says.

Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 You should have gotten that from my positions during the election. I dislike the man. I don't think he is in anyway the right person for the job. I think he got into office because he is very good at speaking (he is an expert at conversational hypnosis) and he is black. If people would have voted on merits, he would never have beaten Hillary.

Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I am enjoying watching his approval ratings drop every day as he appointees tax evader after tax evader to high offices. Daschle should be arrested just any one of us would be. I'm watching him try to explain how appointing 3 former lobbyist is somehow not breaking his promise to never have them in his administration with great joy. I am watching him break his promise to have all bills put on a website for citizen review for 5 days before he signs them by putting them up for review AFTER he signs them. I am watching public support drop like a fucking rock for his "stimulus" package. Less than 40% of the populace supports it now.. it was well over 60% last week. People are actually reading it and finding out what a horrible bloated piece of pork it is. Change... Hope... OMG that is so funny. You all bought it too.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 as I said... but then again... I am not sure you would have been happy with anyone on that ticket correct? Correct, I wanted Romney. People freaked out because he was a mormon and thats all she wrote.
Rev.Reverence Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 You all bought it too. ..absolutism is a very slippery slope.....most often...wouldn't you agree?

Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 No, I think he is a Marxist and the Anti-Christ.
phee Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 No, I think he is a Marxist and the Anti-Christ. And you called peoples opinion of Bush irrational.... at least Bush was judged on what he DID, not on what he MIGHT do... can you see the difference?
phee Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 Change... Hope... OMG that is so funny. You all bought it too. And by the way.... I can think of several people on DGN who I am almost certain, based on their posts (although not speaking for them) DID NOT vote for Obama... Candyman, Constintin, Torn Asunder, Rev. Reverence, Tits McGee, Chernobyl, etc.... and thats just of the top of my head at this moment. So perhaps something more specific then "you all" might be a better choice of verbage... because I doubt that many of the people I mentioned would like like to be included in the sweeping generalization.... You are not the only person on the board who holds views that are in the minority here, it might help things if you remember that... It generally icolates a person to treat everyone, even those who agree with you in the same catagory as those don't Thanks.
Slogo Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 No, I think he is a Marxist and the Anti-Christ. See the beauty of this is when you're Agnostic (such as myself) Anti-Christs mean about as much as Peter Cottontail
taysteewonderbunny Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 See the beauty of this is when you're Agnostic (such as myself) Anti-Christs mean about as much as Peter Cottontail But, Peter Cottontail had a moral!
Slogo Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 But, Peter Cottontail had a moral! okay. Anti-Christs are as REAL as Peter Cottontail
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 And you called peoples opinion of Bush irrational.... at least Bush was judged on what he DID, not on what he MIGHT do... can you see the difference? That sir, is laughable. Bush was hated from the moment he won the election in 2000. As for judging Obama on what he has done... I have his whole adult life to judge him on. A life in which he has surrounded himself with terrorist, Marxists, racists and crooked politicians. A life in which he has never actually done anything except give really nice speeches and position himself for the next election. Now that he has the presidency, I am watching him break every promise he made in the election. I am watching him fill his cabinet with some of the most partisan people he can find. We are supposed to accept and excuse the felons he nominates for our highest offices because he likes them.

I see what you are doing... make this conversatin about me rather than address the real topic.

I have been paying attention.....John Stuart got some good ones in on BIG-O last night... ...you should apologize to the Media...as they are NOT acting as his lap dogs any more... ...I am still undecided as to whether or not he is an Anti-Christ or not...but he does seem to be a politician...& he IS just playing a game after all...they ALL are. Nice... I see what you are doing... make this conversatin about me rather than address the real topic. NO GAF...he is trying to get you NOT to do what YOU perceive everyone else doing...over generalizing...something you HATE when it is applied to you or the Political Right...or the Christians...or anything else that YOU LIKE.... PLEASE STOP LUMPING ME WITH THEM THAT VOTED DIFFERENTLY THAN I DID.
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 You voted 3rd party even though you knew he would not win... You cared more about making a statement than keeping an anti-American out of our highest office. So ya, I am lumping you in with everyone else that sold our country for a bill of goods.
Oh_My_Goth Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009   I don't actually have anything to say because I don't really give a shit, but I wanted to join the fun. But since I'm here... I would like to say that is does not really matter who is Prez, now does it.. Shit is so fucked right now that Jesus Christ himself could be in office & people would still think he is a douche bag for the actions he would have to take.
