Rev.Reverence Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 You voted 3rd party even though you knew he would not win... You cared more about making a statement than keeping an anti-American out of our highest office. So ya, I am lumping you in with everyone else that sold our country for a bill of goods. SO...you would have had me "choose a side"... I would rather have NOT voted...& if you recall (not that I think for a moment you were paying attention to MY WORDS)...but I was Voting for THE RIGHT for a third party to be in a debate...to be on the commercials...NEITHER of the candidates that were being held up in front of the crowd seemed to sum up "PRO-AMERICA"...... (some more).....if you REALLY think that McCain represented "American" that's funny..they are BOTH self-servers...they care for their own asses far to much for me to care about them. ...AND...that would be UN-American of me to vote against my conscience...wouldn't you think?
torn asunder Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 You voted 3rd party even though you knew he would not win... You cared more about making a statement than keeping an anti-American out of our highest office. So ya, I am lumping you in with everyone else that sold our country for a bill of goods. and i voted third party because i couldn't in good conscience, vote for any of the twits that were allowed national air time to whore themselves out against each other. both republicans and democrats promise the moon and the stars, and then fail in the most epic of ways to follow throiugh on their campaign "seductions". (and gaf, after that statement "So ya, I am lumping you in with everyone else", i don't ever want to hear you bitch about being lumped in with anyone else regarding religion, or any other debate where you feel you're being wrongly maligned. you can't have it both ways...) voting third party isn't just making a statement, it's working to promote a change in our political system! some people can't/don't have time to rally for months on end, or circulate petitions, or any of numerous things that political "activists" do - so we vote our conscience instead. it's people who vote for the lesser of two evils, who keep both "evils" in power. you want change? don't vote for any "republicrats" - make them see that you're unwilling to "settle" for one of two charlatains. let them know that you're fucking sick of the bullshit and the lies, and the corruption, and work towards voting in someone who is actually worthy of your vote! that's last bit's not towards gaf, specifically, it's for all of you. vote your damn conscience already! we have enough sheeple, and we have more than enough corruption. seriously, (and i know it won't happen) but can you imagine the reaction if nobody voted for republicans or democrats in the next election!?

I know why you voted 3rd party. I did pay attention to what you and Torn have said about it. I don't agree with it. It's not enough. Voting is not Enough. Government only has the power we give it. The Government has set the rules for elections... and we let them.

Slogo Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I voted for Barack. That being said I see nothing wrong with someone voting for a third party "Always vote for principle though you may vote alone and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost" ~ John Quincy Adams
Enishi Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I voted third party myself. Probably didn't make much of a difference, I know, but my conscience wouldn't allow me to stay home, or to vote for either of the international bankers' puppets.
