New Moving Date: Sunday March 29th - HELP NEEDED PLEASE!

I've found a new house in Berkley to move to. The move date is Sunday March 29th. There's a reasonable chance that I'll get the keys on the 28th but I can't count on it. The house is less then two miles from my current place. Any help - both muscles and transportation - would be greatly appreciated. I'll probably start doing stuff fairly early in the morning but don't expect help until after lunch. (Being a Sunday I know you all need your recovery time from CC. ) Most things will be boxed up so it should be simple to get them from one place to the other. I will, of course, provide drinks and food at some point during the day.

If you can help, please say so here and I'll send more info the week prior to the move day via PM.

I will help, and gladly. My car is smallish but it's very surprising how much it can carry (I've moved in it twice--put my kitchen chairs, floor lamps, all my pots and pans in one trip, grabbed the puter and my clothes in the second trip, my boxes of books in the third trip, and only the bookcases and the mattresses had to travel by pickup). And I actually like lugging stuff. Plus, if you have any furniture that needs be assembled, that's another one of my favorite things; my brain gets all excited--"Lookee! Gigantic PUZZLE!" Yeah, so count me in.

Since we're all going to be together that day,

we should plan the Head Wreck dinner for that evening.

We could unwind and drink.

In preparation for going out, I'll bring soap and towels, so that if we end up all sweaty moving,

we can take turns testing out your new shower

So, now I'm confused about moving time and place.
