Unfortunately, it looks like I wont be able to make it. I'm scheduled to work on the 29th. I might be able to switch shifts with someone, but I doubt it. Sorry Marc.

Since we're all going to be together that day,

we should plan the Head Wreck dinner for that evening.

We could unwind and drink.

In preparation for going out, I'll bring soap and towels, so that if we end up all sweaty moving,

we can take turns testing out your new shower :w00t:

So, now I'm confused about moving time and place.

We meet at your old place?

The new place?

It starts at 9A?

12P?

You'll have to PM us info.

I'll need your phone too, since I no longer have it.

I'm going to be starting at 9AM I don't expect anyone else to arrive until 12 noon. I will send everyone addresses for both places and my phone number later this week.

Group shower? I'm so there! I'll send you a message when I get up and moving to see where you are at.

I'll have my kids. We'll have to lock them up somewhere. :-)

I have a pickup and could haul some big stuff if you need. Not sure how long I will be available but let me know if you need it for big items and I can make the plans.

I'll take all the help I can get. Particularly men folk. Got lots of women to help but there's a few heavy pieces of furniture that will require big strong men like you. (No offense ladies... )

TO ALL: CHECK YOUR PM's FOR INFO!!

The girls and I moved enough stuff today to spend the night in the new place. :-)

Got home early from CC but STILL couldn't get to sleep until after 3:30P

No matter! I'm about to call Mstrbeau to check on the status of the arrivals at his house.

If any of you are reading this, we should try to get there early as possible since it'll start raining at 3P

Too late for that, its been raining here at least all night and is still doing so. But I will be there regardless.

It stopped raining, and we had a pretty trouble-free move, until 2P when it started raining again.

It was pretty much Marc, bean and I and one of Marc's friends for the first couple hours, but then a ton of people showed up at noon and it was actually a lot of fun.

Or at least the sitting around eating healthy food with protein and vegetables :pizza: and homemade chocolate and talking was fun.

Oh, and Marc's girls LOVE bean, almost as much as I do. She has this weird magnetic attraction to the little ones.

Don't forget, we're adopting the one that looks like you.

I could do an aftermath post with tons of names for this move. I had no idea who was coming, but it was like Marc handpicked most of my favorite DGNers for the move. We're still waiting for Brenda and Jeff to show, though :detective:

(Personal note to Marc---please drink my other 2 liter of diet coke. I don't need it back. I just want to make sure it has a good home. )

Thanks to all for your hard work. I have lots to do on this end, but getting it here is the major battle. Very much appreciated!!!

Eternal... I don't drink pop. Come on over and hang out. :-)

Hey Marc, sorry we didnt make it out to help, but glad to hear your move was a success... I was dead to the world today and would have been fairly useless.

Posted

I just wanted to apologize for our not being there. I don't feel like launching into what has happened in the past week, but it was bad enough to keep us from doing anything that WE needed to do til yesterday...

I feel pretty bad about it.

Well, since we practically live right around the corner from you... :)

After all that lifting and hefting, the beer, pizza, and chocolate/buttterscotch/crunchy rice noodle/peanut thingees made the best meal I'd had in a long time. Seriously, I'd do it all again to have another meal that felt/tasted that good.

I was a little pissed until I logged into FaceBook in the evening and saw your message. No sweat. Hope you got things sorted out.

And then there was me. =P

I saw you! I think I even saw you lift something. :p

Gimme a week to straighten the place out and then the open invite is in effect. :-)

Yay!! Who would have thought someone would actually be happy to help move? :-)

Sorry you were pissed. I hope that you never see your own child getting handcuffed.
