So I should have posted this before I left so instead of what I'm about to do I'll just go over what I just did -
The wife and I just officially hiked to the summit of Pike's Peak this last week! Wednesday-Friday to be specific. Took 3 days total, 2 going up and 1 going down. 13 miles one way, 26 miles round trip.

It kicked our asses though, that's for sure! Not in the shape we used to be. Definitely want to tackle more, so we're starting to go for more hikes, and work our way back up to where we were just 10 years ago. Getting old sucks, but what sucks even worse? Getting passed going uphill to Pike's Peak, by 70 & 80 year olds. Seriously, I lost count of how many, obviously 65+ year olds actually passed us like we weren't even moving, on the way up the mountain.
That's how I wanna be when (if) I get that age!
