Obama is chocolate Jesus or there is no god

OK so during the election half the nation of "good christians" were praying for him to lose, or get shot, or both. Faithful worshipers of the cross. God let you all down because Obama won... now there must have been a reason for him ignoring all your prayers and my theory to this is that, HE MUST BE THE NEW MESSIAH! I mean sure people were praying for Obama to win too, but most of them were probably gays, atheists, and black people (I threw black in there for the Mormons, which used to believe until recently that if you were black and believed hard enough you'd turn white).

I'm not really trying to start anything here except intelligent debate on why capitol G would let everyone down. Unless he doesn't actually exist. So which is it?

.......so, what were all the christains that I knew doing when they were praying for Obama to win?

I will admit, that if I am mistaken and this is really the 50's that there are alot of radical christians that will go as far as to injure, or at least hate with a passion, anyone that is not a WASP and hip with Jesus. But alas, it is 2008 and there is alot of dust on the most "recent" Chuck Berry album...

Although I may not be a christian, I will defend their right to have beliefs. For, even if my only belief is that Vanilla Coke is far superior to Pepsi Vanilla, the fact remains that I have a right to my belief and so does everyone else. Now, questioning someones beliefs may not be a bad things...but in this area there isn't even a dead horse to kick anymore...it has decomposed and now you along with many others are just furiously kicking the empty space where a dead horse used to be. I belive in smoking and although I do not like drinking that much and belive it leads to alot of bad things for the user and those around them, I will fight to make sure that people still have their right to drink. Sadly, my faith in humanity is all but gone with the recent taxes on cigarettes, the smoking bans, and the unbelievable ignorance of the people when it comes to the effects of alcohol and how it is advertised.

So what, they were praying that someone they didn't want in office didn't get into office. HOLY CRAP! Must have been because he was black...or not christian...or black...because all christians are really just the same thing and think the same things. This is FAR worse that any other person giving any other person crap.

Sure, I give some followers of Islam a little crap now and then...but they, and I speak only of the insane followers not all of them, have some actions that deserve a little more that crap...more like a rope with a loop on the end. Now, in recent years christains have...prayed? Protested? Spoken out on TV? I fail to see any need for concern because in the end they are no different than anyone else.

When the christians start praying and asking their god for help against something...you can go ahead and crap your pants...I will have a crispy, cold beer waiting for you after you change your pants.

How about we bring up every religion, every big event they were a part of, and then see where their god did what was asked of him and where he didn't. Islam has hit some hard times. Hinduism hasn't been in happy fun land all the time. Atheism doesn't belive that anything has happened to it. Judaism, not a christian religion, has had some...well lets just say they got some rough shit thrown their way. Rasta went through some crap. Primal-indigenous religions, like the Native Americans, were not all glittery. Zoroastrianism has suffered for most of its life. Cao Dai's followers MUST have prayed for something to happen, oh, around the late 60's early 70's. African Traditional & African Diasporic Religions have followers that, if they are praying or worshiping, aren't getting their prayers answered all the time.

Maybe we should worship the Fonz...oh that failed too because they won't film any more episodes...

Umm.... I am a Christian and I voted for Obama. Though I am not sure how Obama getting elected proves or disproves the existence of God.

I think the world as we know it is coming to an end. Repent, then go have massive orgies and all the bad things you were told not to do in life hehe.

Yeah, this was mostly directed to these type of christians though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41LUag21Cxc

Watch all five parts. This is mostly directed toward those types.

I know that liberal christians exist as well, hell my dad is one of them (although he still voted McCain because I don't think he liked the idea of a black person in office).

80% of all people in America follow some form of christianity. However most americans are lazy. I wonder how many of them got out to vote like their preachers told them to.

Oh yeah here's a fun chart too, although a bit dated now.

You are basing most or your answeres and questions on statistics...which, when used on humanity is an epic fail.

First, there is a large number of people in those videos, however, large means jack shit today. That is actually a very small group of people that does no justice in representing people. I could post videos of the crazy Baptist people that hate Bush too...but it means nothing.

Second, christianity is the most commonly used default by many people. Lumping these christians all together in one group is about as bad as me lumping all muslims together in one group. However, somewhere in unwritten rules it is ok to make fun of christians...but not any other religion, that is just wrong.

Saying that 80% of Americans are christians is a worn out stat too. The number of Christians in america has been dropping like a rock...and they haven't taken any stats since 1996...and with the rise of the followers of Islam you could say that the numbers are different now. Also, most people that don't choose anything and just say that they are "religious" are added to the christian side. In all these polls that christian column is padded with people that don't belong there at all.

Most preachers don't go telling people TO vote or WHO to vote for. Unless you generalise by taking some radical preacher from youtube and toss that around as fact. Also, when did lazy america suddenly become put onto the christians? Is it only wrong of them to be lazy? Is it wrong of them to not vote because of their freedom of choice...and then have people twist that into some religious shit?

And as far as the chart goes...that is very convenient. I wonder how they got such an accurate representation of all the IQ numbers in every state...or, could it just be that someone made this for fun? I have never actually heard of people, in large enough numbers, taking IQ tests and having them recorded for later use. Or is this that shit that always popped up on facebook?

You know what? I want to see how many people shit their pants when I do a study on how many black people voted for Obama...it would just be funny. Also, considering the number of people that were shown a picture of Obama, were told the ideas of McCain, and agreed that Obama was on the right track I would love to see their IQ points too. But sadly, its only ok to give shit to WASPs and it would be horribly racist of someone to question a black person.

I read this in an artice and though I would share it...

WASHINGTON - This inaugural week included a massive achievement in American racial history, an outpouring of civic participation and a gracious executive transition on both sides. But amid the celebration one could detect double standards all around.

If the outcome had been different in November, would John McCain's inaugural coverage have been quite as worshipful as President Obama's -- during which the "shiver" up the leg of journalists finally became full-fledged convulsions? Why were the biblical references in Obama's inaugural speech not considered a coded assault on the Constitution, as George W. Bush's were? And I can only imagine the cascades of hilarity and derision that would have come had Bush messed up the inaugural oath, no matter the cause.

But an aggrieved sense of victimhood is not attractive from any political perspective. And so, in honor of the "era of responsibility," I put aside such childish things.

As someone who is not a fan of ANY person in politics, no matter what side they are on, and I do make fun of people, this shit with Bush has gone beyond childish...he is gone and if you can't get over that I can only suggest getting some lube and taking a good long look at your colon because that is probably the best perspective you can ever get...

Statistics exist for a reason and if they weren't based on some modicum of fact they wouldn't exist. Granted some could be made up but I think using common sense and weeding out false data we can get to the core truth. I'm basing it on the data given

First, there is a large number of people in those videos, however, large means jack shit today. That is actually a very small group of people that does no justice in representing people. I could post videos of the crazy Baptist people that hate Bush too...but it means nothing.

It's a cross section of select McCain voters from different states he went to visit. All those other people in the videos, the thousands at those rallies, are also McCain supporters that were active enough to make it out to the rally.

Second, christianity is the most commonly used default by many people. Lumping these christians all together in one group is about as bad as me lumping all muslims together in one group. However, somewhere in unwritten rules it is ok to make fun of christians...but not any other religion, that is just wrong.

I lump them together because they all believe in Jesus. Granted they all might have different values (most of them hypocrites not following what Jesus taught anyway) but they all bow down to the same religious icon.

Saying that 80% of Americans are christians is a worn out stat too. The number of Christians in america has been dropping like a rock...and they haven't taken any stats since 1996...and with the rise of the followers of Islam you could say that the numbers are different now. It's not dropping fast enough for me. You are indeed right though on this part.

Most preachers don't go telling people TO vote or WHO to vote for. Unless you generalise by taking some radical preacher from youtube and toss that around as fact. First "Idle hands are the devil's tools". Second, most christinas until about the 1960's didn't vote. The Neo-Cons changed all that though when they went for a power grab in government and made deals with leaders of the christian faith.

It was cross referenced with the book "IQ and the Wealth of Nations"

Yeah, I know there are a lot of dumb black people who voted for Obama just because he was black and they thought they might get something out of it. But again there are lots of racists out there of both colors who vote for their own color, simply because it's their own color. Like anyone knows the issues anyway, it's really just a popularity contest.

I wasn't making fun of Bush, or McCain. I was making fun of the zealots who would vote for them.

Well, in recent years people have been looking for different ways of collecting data on humans. When I do a study on processed machine parts the numbers are all over the place, and there are not that many variables with discs of steel, now apply that to humans and the number of variables accounts for a very crappy d.f. number.

They do believe in Jesus...but many other religions that are not considered christian believe in the "one god" and many also have their own form of "jesus" so...why are they different?

The idle hands thing really doesn't apply to voting. It is mostly taught that if you work hard at your profession that you will prosper...if you don't then you fall behind at work or you find other things to do with your hands. It also helps them to teach that masturbation is wrong...

Didn't really think that you were making fun of Bush...but just making sure. I still find that too many people are focusing on Bush and on christians when, if the same points are looked at, every other religion deserves the same amount of ridicule...the same goes for every other politician...I like to throw rocks at everyone...

There are always exceptions to the rule, and 78% of most statistics are made up anyway. So it's always good to source your information and double check the data.

Other religions aren't different, but I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about right wing christians that felt like they just lost a kid or loved one or got raped when Obama won the election.

The idle hands thing was me using their own scripture against them, out of context as they so often do, bending it to what they want it to mean.

Christians make the best targets since I deal with them the most.

I wear my Rasta boxers every day...the yellow strip is nice to have but they should really add a splash of brown to their colors...

I'm sure you can add that yourself.

I also didn't know you were black, since that's the only way you can be in that religion (it's an actual requirement, I'm not being racist here, they are).

Then again I don't know exactly who is who on here because I don't really pay attention.

I dare ANYONE to go up to a cash register with a pair of undies and ask for the jesus seal of resurection approval tag. I will video tape it and put it on youtube.

Actually, after Bob Marley you don't need to be black. Also, you don't need dreadlocks and you don't need to smoke weed. Requirements are that you belive in Jah, the Everliving, and a few other things. Also, Zion exists and although some teach that Zion means Africa, most teach that it is peace...and Babylon that some say is America, is taught by most as the peace and religion that we WOULD have but it has been corrupted by western society. The early Rasta movement focused on Afrocentric ideas and was almost equal to the white pride movement. But after Bob Marley and others like him they got away from that and it is now taught that a "new race" should be formed...one without petty prejudice, owing nothing to a country or place and owing everything to our fellow man. Also, there is a strong rejection of 'ism's because they are used by modern scholars to group things together...so it is not Rastafarianism movement...it is Rastafari...

I am white...and if they would not let me in that would make the follower racist, which they are not, and would make their claims of finding a better place all for nothing...

Peace, Love, Jah

You forgot to mention the whole "Kill Whitie" slogan from thier beginings. Oh right, we are sopposed to forget that thier main aim was to kill all the white people or drive them off the Island.

Yeah, we try to leave that part out and forget the past. It is funny though, the original and most of the current Skinheads were NOT racist and were very much a friend of any race...and the original Rasta movement was the opposite...yet people get both parts of those wrong. All we say is that if you can't handle the truth, go away and find out if your brain has room for expansion.

Posted

People also seem to forget that Democrats were the political party FOR slavery in the USA. Which is quite strange if you look at how "red" the south is and the values of each party.

But anyhow can we get back on topic here?

Posted

Demcrats are also the ones that fought against Desegragation and Women's Sufferage. It has always amazed me that so many black people and women support the Democrats.

Posted

The answer to that is simple. Barry Goldwater and Lyndon Baines Johnson. LBJ drove the racst democrats out of the party, and Goldwater, not a racist at all, brought them in to the Republican party with his opposition to the civil rights acts on constitutional grounds.

The Democratic party cynically allowed the racists to bring their power and influence to the Republican party because they knew the demographic math. Republicans spent time in the wilderness, and could not afford to throw any one out.

The Republicans won out in the early round, with the Reagan revolution, got fucked by Perot, and royally fucked themselves with Bush.

The Democratic party will more than likely splinter in time. The coastal Democrats simply have no real reason to support the Midwestern Democrats. Costal regions deal in trade, not in production.

We shall see, though. I could be very wrong.

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
