I am just curious to if any people have compared the works of the ficticional writer H.P Lovecraft with archeological finds.  It is amazing how accurate some of his information is.  I find it fascinating.  How did he know?  It's easy to find this stuff with the internet, but how did he do it.  Why are many of the beings he described, atuall beings worshiped at the craddle of civilization?

I should't tell you this but the book found him. It really is a terrable offense to think about the book let alone speak of it. I feel it call to me there is much to be done now. :fear

Well, there is a very big difference in the energy of Cthula, and what I attempted while a teenager.  I have not read the book in over 2 decades.  If my memory is correct there is a duality within the book, this duality is found in all religions.  There were the Elder Gods~ theoretically good, and the Ancient Ones ~ their theoretical opposite.  Personally the utilization of good and evil are words that I avoid when expressing myself.  But this single thing done about 25 years was to protect my body from the Ancient Ones, robbers, and malicious people.  The path is very similar to the Enochian system.  It involved traveling to many spheres, and battling the negativity.  A successful win would bring about some form of enlightenment.  Please remember until the end, which no one can accurately predict; there should be a balance in magickal systems.  Many have enormous veils to protect un-initiated people from experiencing things they are not prepared to deal with.  There is what is called Sumerian blood rites.  This is the negative stuff you may be thinking of.  I know of people who practice this, but they are greatly avoided.  I know nothing about their rituals work, just that they exist.

The Sumerian religion predates Babylon.  One of the spheres to visit was the sphere of Inana.  She became the Babylonian Deity Ishtar, and may have very well become the Roman and Greek Goddess Venus, and Aphrodite.  (Research will yield she is both Venus and Aphrodite; but it’s something I have not personally validated)

There is no way that anyone can convince me it is a negative force.  I don’t want to be bold, but many people who practice religions don’t realize that their supreme deity or object of worship, may have other names, and been worshiped by many previous civilizations.  This type of study may be one of the distinguishing factors between high magick and low magic.  This concept leads to the conclusion that even the supreme deity of all, may have more than one name.

The link gives the concept of Ishtar and Venus being the same.  The earlier link gave the concept of the Sumerian Inana from the necronomicon and Ishtar .  This may come somewhat shocking, but many pagans and witches may even adorn this deity, and not even know it’s origin as a Sumerian goddess, and part of the necronomicon practice.

My favorite quote from Crowley is not “Do what thou wilt” but “There is a spark of divine in all religions” having the knowledge to distinguish it is the present day problem with most practitioners.  THis goes back to the duality

A former brother of my sect was visited in a dream after reading the book. A giant 9 foot tall demon sat him down on his couch. sat next to him on the couch and spoke to him in a different language all night. When he woke up the next day he realized he could read and speak a different language. He still can to this day

but never will he reveal the secret to any not even me these days. Yet i've seen the pages and pages in some different text. I've seen the gifts he's gotten and what it costs. I truly don’t want to get into an argument nature, but I dis-agree with you 100%. I am not some evil person. High magick will lead you to learn to bind control, and interrogate negative influences; this will occur only once you have successfully become master of the elements and self. To achieve true knowledge and conversation of the holy guardian angel is not something given. It’s something earned. I have done successfully the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram. This is a ritual that brings forth the 4 arch angels. These are not fallen angels, but a divine positive force. Just as my style requires binding negative forces with divine energy or proper pronounced words of power, a negative practitioner would not have a blissful and harmonious experience when dealing with divine energy.

I do not deal with the necronomicon or its practice. This was something that interested me as a teenager. I study and practice the advance stages of Enochian magic, along with many ancient ceremonial practices. It’s considered the language of angels. But the Church of Satan utilizes the same keys. This is the duality in all things until the end. Yoga is the proper way to achieve the altered states of consciousness to deal with the other planes of existence. I use no drug, or sex acts to harness or focus energy. I will not say those are evil, but against my personal path. Pranayamma and Samadhi are some of the best yoga procedures to prepare the mind. Perhaps you should read more about the Qliphotic forces. Study the tree of life. You will learn there are constructive and destructive forces in all magick. It’s the choice of the practitioner to understand the difference, or become something I am not. Divination is a good start, but there are much stronger methods; the stronger methods you must discover for yourself.

If you truly read the entire book “Necromomicon” you will see Lilith is one of the entities involved in the book. I have personally taken some Kabala classes from and actual Rabbi; their doctrine mentions her as the second wife of Adam, and the vessel many seeds were planted; and not all harvested yet.

PS. Have you ever done path working or studies the dark night of the soul? Crossing the abyss is my goal. It requires an understanding over all forms of energy. If you don’t fully understand them, or have been in control with them; you will rapidly decay in spiritual growth. The will fall much faster than you ascend. Presently I am still ascending, are you?

It is my belief you are confused with the practice of Chutula and the climbing of the ladder of lights. Think about the ladder of lights, you meet a savior near the end. Doesn’t that concept seam very familiar with other positive forms of magick?

Your allegiance... Was it Nergral??? If so you didn’t do your research on the force. Most books like the necronomicon don’t tell you how to accurately do anything. It requires an initiated individual or someone who uses it as a guide but not 100% factual. An understanding of gematria, demonology, alchemy, and fundamentals of elements are required; or the book is just make believe. Kind of like Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Ozz.

Here is some information on Nergral. There is no Nagral in the book. If I am wrong, you voluntarily admit who you made allegiance with. I will provide you some information, and perhaps I am correct and you chose the negative site.

Nergal is referenced in the bible. So where do you get your concept about their existence and age?
