Well.. I was going to college to get my bachelors in accounting, then I couldn't afford it anymore... but I can't get a raise at work until I further my education.. but I can't afford it unless I make more money...

and so on and so forth..

See a pattern here?

Yeah most people except her are either going to college or don't go to school at all.

Way to group us all togeather with the kiddie goths.

I actually think you're currently the youngest member here sk8ter.

Stick around and you'll grow up fast though. I know I did hanging around my elders.

Not me I am way too old girly. I don't even want to go back to colledge....too tired. My kids go to ghetto ass clintondale high.

No doubt I gotta get back there and finish my bachalors. Finances being the main roadblock for this past year....not having any is such a pain in the ass.

Good reason....no spanking necessary....unless you want one. :cool

I think lots of people should go back to school. It appears that some don't do well the first time around. I was horrible in math. I still AM horrible in math. I didn't give a rats ass about history, either. Now that 9/11 has occurred, it made me realize that I was a part of some incredible history. I pay a LOT more attention now. I know how stupid that may sound. There are so many adults who can't spell simple, fundamental words. Everyday words like "maybe" and the like.

I can't spell maybe

Almost done with degree #3 at eville old EMU. Contemplating either LSAT (JD) or Masters in Org. Com at Wayne State or University of Texas/Austin. All depends on if I move or not next spring.

The school of hard knocks. Don't waste your money getting certifications unless you have a degree to back them.

Wayne State med school.........forEVER. In the ugliest, most depressing school building I've seen

Might be teaching a product design studio course at CCS. (College for Creative Studies)

Been teaching there on and off since '02. I learn a fair bit just by teaching. :wink

education is a life-long process. youre never too old for school. ive had 70-year-olds in some classes.

myself, i took about 5 years off. kinda wish i hadnt, but thats how it is. i learned alot anyway, that you dont learn in school. im so close to my bachelors, i can taste it. i need to stay on track now. it took me another 5 years of nights to get here, no point in quiting now. hopefully ill be in the market for a new, better job a year from now.

i love learning. i never want to stop. ever.

We are proud of you for it too...arn't we people? =)

There's always a couple at least.

Interesting side note(s):

The year that I applied to med school was the first time that more women applied nationally than men. My class is certainly at least half women, if not more. (I think this is a big step, especially considering how things were only a few decades ago. For example, my mom was the first woman ever to go through the dermatology program at her residency)

Also, my class is not a sea of white like it may have been in the past. I don't think even 50% are of european decent. Tons of asians, indians, africans, everything. It's a nice contrast to my überwhite college
