The_Dark Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Isn't Landrover owned by Ford now? I know they own Austin Martin.
Msterbeau Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Well, space is much more sensibly used in the new minis than in say your average US SUV, such as Dodge Durango. Truly, you have about as much room in a durango as you do in a civic. I've test drove a new Mini and it was so cool. I was surprised about how roomy they really are. Actually... The packaging in the Mini isn't all that great if you compare space to a similarly sized car. They used the 3-series front seat layout and the back seat got whatever was left over. It's really a 2+2. That said... I love em.... I just wish they weighed about 500 lbs less. My suzuki swift was about the same size and weighed 1900lbs. The Mini Weighs 2500 - 2700. :blink
Msterbeau Posted October 13, 2005 Author Posted October 13, 2005 Isn't Landrover owned by Ford now? I know they own Austin Martin. Ford = Landrover Aston Martin Volvo Jaguar Mazda Lincoln Mercury I think that's it....

Msterbeau Posted October 14, 2005 Author Posted October 14, 2005 Inspired by HW and PH's European cars dialogue... Here's some of my favorite "unobtainium". (Cars that weren't/aren't imported to the US) Peugeot 205. One of the original "hot hatches". And the more modern interpretation: The Peugeot 206 WRC While were doing French: Renault Sport Spyder Renault Megane Trophy English Stuff: This one's utterly obnoxious... Perfect! MG XPower SV Vauxhall VX220 Turbo - basically a Lotus Elise in disguise... Italian: Alfa Romeo Brera German: Opel Astra GTC Smart Roadster Coupe V-6 I'll dig up older cars later.. I need to do A proper vintage car posting too... etc etc..
ZhukovCodeslinger Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 here are some I would like: http://www.forceprotection.net/models/buff...uffalo_spec.pdf http://www.forceprotection.net/models/coug...gar4x4_spec.pdf The only "True" 600hp "Last V-8 Interceptor" more info on it... http://www.madmaxmovies.com/fanstuff/cars/...elli/index.html This would do too: http://www.madmaxmovies.com/fanstuff/cars/...rick/index.html I have always wanted a Tatra Kolos: or this version (minus the rockets) This would be a lot of fun to try and park at cityclub <smile> When my dad used to race his austin-Healy, one of his friends had one of these that he rebuilt from a wreck... I have wanted one ever since (1969 chevron B-16... or even a Kit version) my dads sprite looked somthing like this: also the lola T70s were really cool too (1969) and for the vehicle that i want most: http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=47&i=6958 by far the coolest new idea for a workable vehicle in 50 years! all the benefits of a motorcycle without the drawbacks of the "trike"
kellygrrrrrl Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I saw a silver one on a large flatbed trailer yesterday. It looked so tiny and alone. =( <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Those are all over the place in Europe. I want one, too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like itty bitty cars....No gas guzzlers, or shiney, impressive sports cars for me thanks! I go for the cute and efficient!

Paper Hearts Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Yeah, the civics here are a bit tougher I think. They score among the top in their class, no?
Rayne Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I like it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yay!! I like it too!

Rayne Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Far too much bling.... :fear How about this approach instead: Or perhaps this: I have another really cool one that I have at home... hehehehehehehehe <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like the second one....first one is a bit too....ehhh....dare I say it? plain.
Msterbeau Posted October 14, 2005 Author Posted October 14, 2005 I like the second one....first one is a bit too....ehhh....dare I say it? plain. The first one was a joke... :laughing I liked it because it was an early civic, similar to the one PH posted... and it had jaques Villenueves name on it... Heh. The second one could stand to have bigger wheels/tires/brakes. I prefer clean and light to gorped up... especially on front wheel drive cars. Rear wheel drive cars I'd put giant flares etc on... :woot: Nice BMW Touring car, by the way.
