soothsayer Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Huh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No not you Brenda - her name is Brenda also.
GreggZero Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I went to my 10 year . All the guys were fatter and balder but pretty much looked the same , some girls were fat others got skinny, about all had to have name tags, cause thier look was way diffrent. The official reunion was a ripp off like $80 , they said there would be food , but all they had there was nasty looking servers making some crappy pita things..then the bar was a cash bar $6 for a labatt. they played stupid music , no one danced(like i would have anyway). Later i found out a bunch of my friends crashed it and didnt pay..I was pissed they didnt tell me. The best part was the AFTERPARTY.. a few guys had a KEGGER at thier house, they had a tripped out smoke room...foosball...It was like a HS party all over again(kinda sureal). I hooked up with 2 different girls(who would have never talked to me in HS) that night and the party didnt end till after sunrise..So I say show up late , sneak in, find the afterparty, and bring protection. Pass out in your car till noon. YEAAAH
BlackHound Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 My high school, that run down hell hole. A class reunion is the last thing I need.
Wounds Within Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I did not attend my 5 year Eisenhower High School reunion, but perhaps I will attend my 10 year. It might be rather interesting to see how people have changed over the years. I only talk to one person from high school these days so it would be good to get back in contact with my old friends.
Homicidalheathen Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I think I am with Brenda on this one. Looking good, feeling good and doing well are the best revenge. All the people that snubbed me in school are balding, chubby, and have several kids and dark circles. I saw it at my 15, and I'm satisfied. I don't need to see anymore. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Homicidalheathen Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Well the actual reunion sucked but........this is the best after party reunion story I have ever heard! You go man! Shade Everdark Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 You should all go.I was never at a school long enough for people to know me....or even remember me for that matter. I wish I had a reunion to go to....I think it would be fun. I think you would regret it later if you didn't. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think so. My high school is 500 miles away, and I didn't like most of those people to begin with. They had no repsect or regard for me, nor I them. I have better places to see than my old high school.
Brenda Starrr Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I was gonna go to my 20th last year. But it was more imporatant to ride 150 miles on my bike and raise money to find a cure for MS. I saw photos. I would have hated it anyways. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wasn't I in town that weekend?
Head Wreck Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 we dont do reunions round here thank god. wouldnt want to see those fuckers anyhow. maybe one or two of the girls to ask them what the hell they meant on the last day (i wasnt exactly mr popular, the school geek/wierdo/recluse funny thing is, few months after school finished and i began in collage i flipped out in a rage, and apparently i started taking doors of hinges and throwing them. i had an appology from most of my former bullies within a month at the bar.
Reaper Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 I went to my 5 year which wasn't a big ordeal. Just an after-graduation party really. Then I went to my 10 year back in 02 and no one recognized me. One of these days I will post my senior pic to explain. It was fun seeing people gawk at me wondering who I was. I would have been nominated as "Most Changed" of the class. And I just got an email from my old high school gf. She did the ol married bit with 2 kids thing. She hasn't changed in looks at all. I am still waiting for the reply to my recent photos. I told her how I had did a 180 change in who I was and what i look like. Waiting for the announcement on Classmates.com for the 07 reunion. Hope to pull up in my hearse for that one. I just can't wait to see their faces.
Saephyr Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I'm coming up on a big one and I'm so dying to see who got better and really went someplace with themselves. Also I'd love to laugh at the wives of all the men who passed me up....hope I can wear my leather tux jacket!!!
Dubh Aingeal Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 Didn't go to my 5 year and have no clue if we had a 10 or 15 year. Barely was in school enough to pass, or care what they did in their spare time. Could care less now about what they are up to. I was on the bottome of the food chain there as far as they were concerned. Of course that might have something to do with the a's I got on the tests without studying or homework, and the sleeping thru my classes when I did attended.
sass_in_the_pants Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 My ten year's coming up and I think I'll go. I was out of town for the five year. Here's the thing - the people who I really liked in high school I am still friends with, but there are a couple of people I am very curious about, nothing bad mind you, they are people who I only knew casually, but I liked them very much, and I hope they did very well for themselves. I hope they pull up in limos with bimbos and nymphos.
JaneDead Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 i have no interest in going. i still talk to a good percentage of people i was friends with in school still anyways. there are a good handful that i would love to talk to/see again but i am not sure we'd even "keep in touch" anyways so it is not a big deal. and really there are only about 2 of them that i actually went to school with. the others are old friends i lost touch with over the years that i would not see again at a reunion anyways.
Fierce Critter Posted January 23, 2006 Author Posted January 23, 2006 I haven't come a whit closer to making up my mind. Haven't even pursued finding out if there, in fact, is going to be one. I did go so far as to contact the one person I knew who made their e-mail address available. She wrote me back, and now I'm torn. I am not 100% sure I want to write back. I kinda jumped the gun there. I have incredibly mixed feelings about the whole high school experience and revisiting it. It was so weird for me. On the one hand, I did things that should have put me at a relatively decent point on the "popularity" meter. Newspaper editor, punk freak, etc. But I never gave a damn about popularity back then, so I still remained quite the lone wolf. I have a feeling the people I'd really be interested in catching up with are the type of people who wouldn't go. Except possibly the guy who ended up a gay cross dresser. I've heard through the grapevine that he has intended to go to reunions dressed in drag. I'd love to see that.
saechalyn Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 I'd say if you have mixed feelings, take a chance and go. It might be worth it! For me I can't think of anyone I'd want to see from high school or any reason why going would be a good idea, so it's a moot point for me.
