You got a card from your mother!

I didn't even get that.

hmmm, should I use a bullet or go out in a blaze of glory by ramming my car into a concrete wall?  (Although, it isn't really a very cool death unless you do it in a really fast sports car.  I drive a damn Kia).

I think instead of killing myself I'll just finish off this bag of Hershey's kisses and go rent a movie.

what can I say I really dont like chocolate.

Hell yes, a dozen pretty roses delivered to my workplace! But better yet, a dozen roses in an awesome red vase. My boyfriend is a smart man. :)

This will be our 1st Valen-stink Day together as a married couple.

I was formally a pro-no valentines day type B personality.

However, this year, as a married woman in LOVE..."LOVE" day......hence -

I think maybe showing some Valentines day love might actually be a heart warming effect. :erm Blah, I just vurped from myself

We don't have any official plans....but, maybe dinner is in order.

I plan on getting some booty. I will be giving him a valentines day / ANNIVERSARY gift.....since 2/26 is our 1 year! More aimed at the anniversary.....

I would like to point out that Valentine's Day is NOT a Halmark Holiday. It happens to be one of the oldest holidays we celebrate and predates Halmark by 4 or 500 years.

Valentine's Day is very much a Celebration of Love. What better reason is there to celebrate? I'm sorry to those who do not have love in thier life... it must really suck.. otherwise you would not be trying to bring everyone else down with you.

Well. Sometimes it DOES really suck.

Maybe you have had someone who loves you for so long you don't remember how lonely days like this can be.

I am happy for those who do have someone though. I know what it's like and I miss it and I hope all of you who do have a happy day and truly appreciate what you have in each other.

Just because someone is sad or lonely and expresses that does not mean they are trying to bring others down. For some people who don't have a reason to celebrate this day, yeah, it can be hard, especially when it reminds you of a love you once had, or wish you did.

Yes love is a wonderful reason to celebrate. But there are also a lot of cheesy hallmark-esque aspects of this and other holidays and those get on a lot of people's nerves whether or not they have someone, and regardless of whether Valentine's day is 50 years old or 5000.

I have to 2nd Dark here. If maybe I'd do it a touch more... tactfully? :wink

I hesitated to add anything to this thread because so many people are unhappy where love is concerned, I almost feel like I'm viewed as boasting or something when I talk about Jon and myself.

Again, we don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day beyond some ultra-simple thoughts & poems, cards, things like that. 'Cause we budget tight and my birthday is in the same month. So we'd rather save on the 14th and spend on the 27th.

But we do observe the day somehow. We're doing a little better this year, so Jon did something for me I'm not aware of. I'll find out later, he's on his way home now.

I got him a card & some of those filled hard strawberry candies he likes. Spent all of $2.00. And we're going to dinner - at a nearby tavern that sent me a card for a free dinner in the month of my birthday.

Someday, a bouquet (or two) of roses would be nice. But any thought or deed means a lot to me. To both of us. =)

I'm not known for my Tact. Sorry, that came off far more harsh than it was intended.

I think that is very very sweet. I don't mind hearing about happy couples and I don't consider it bragging.

(and I wasn't trying to bring anyone down by what I posted either). Allow me the right to gripe a bit, please. I'm really down - okay? I admit it. I miss my ex boyfriend terribly.

That doesn't mean I'm not happy when I see a couple in love. I think it's wonderful.

Sometimes those little things you do that don't cost anything are much more meaningful in the end.

Sorry if it wasnt tactful enough to live up to your standards, I was just having a moment ... which Im still having .. and really dont give a fuck what anyone thinks. Because the simple fact is there is alot of wining and bitching on this board .. and I try to be supportive and not negative, I just expected the same, perhaps I was mistaken.

I believe you  and I didn't mean to pick on you I just felt compelled to point out that there is a big difference between "Wow, this day sucks for me, because I am lonely/miss my ex/etc" and OMG ALL YOU HAPPY COUPLES SUCK AND CAN GO TO HELL. The latter would annoy me as well.

Actually, I was wrong the first time I responded to this.

When I composed my thread, only The Dark's post was there. My response was directly to him. I didn't quote him because I thought my post was going to come in directly below his.

You and Onyx hit "enter" when I was still typing out my direct response to Dark.

My post had absolutely nothing to do with you.

Never shit where you eat. Bad, bad idea.

I've dated many women I've worked with and it has always turned out fine. But thanks for the concern.

In response to the actual topic of the thread....

I plan on spending the evening in with my girl. I just got back from the store where I picked up fresh seafood and steak and am prepping to make a nice high end romantic meal, (aside from the crab not really romantiic just tasty as all hell). After which time we'll probably spend the evening on the couch relaxing and watching a movie. Tonight I'll pamper her with a massage and a bit of roleplay and we'll end with something like a long embrace and sleep.

I never liked the typical going out, candies flowers etc. I think just getting so time togther is all the "holiday" needs.

My Red Day plans have always been fairly similar, even if I didn't follow through on said plans, whether I was with someone or not.

It's just a holiday I don't like much.

I COULDN'T EVEN SPEND A DAY HAPPY WITH MYSELF TODAY!

i COULDN'T SLEEP AT ALL LAST NIGHT AND THEN ...I WANTED TO GET SOME ICE CREAM...just cuz I hadn't had any in like 2 months.

My fuqin car won't start!

I think I'll quietly give up on my tiny wish to have peanut butter and chocolate baskin & Robbins today :doh

Perhaps you didnt get my point .... if not please re read it . Thank you. Perhaps you should defend your actions when Im in a better mood ... but right now Im not really hearing it ... note to one self ... it was meant to be sarcastic . It doent require a read between the lines sort of view.

Broke up yesturday with a girl I was seeing of late. Not sure what I should plan for the rest of the evening though. Either suck-it-up and go to Luna; or finish my liter of vodka and pout... :confused
