Me and the neighbor boys built a 2 story treehouse with a rip cord to get down....it was bad ass....we wall papered it and put in carpet samples.....we had it for a really long time, a few years!

We also built giant Teepees (SP?) a few times and had a fire in the front....pretending to be native americans......

Heh that makes me want to go build my own little tree house.. With insulation, a few rocking chairs, heat, a record player and some Miles Davis.. Oh did I forget to mention the 3 foot water hooka? Heh.

They have plans you can get that let you have the supports on the ground, and you build around the tree. It's pretty neat. Because I also don't like doing that to a living thing.

Actually this makes me want to set up shop in an abandoned subway. Lots of awesome stuff down there and you can usually get power and everything you need as well.
