n0Mad Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Let's build a tree mansion and all move in together. In order to afford it, we can build a tree nightclub and all work there.
Hellion Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 :devil The one I built was 20' from the ground up,five years later it callapsed,it was never attached to any trees.
n0Mad Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 it was never attached to any trees. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's probably why it collapsed. :laughing Sorry, I'm just in a goofy mood tonight.

AstralCrux Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 You mean you wouldn't use sealers on your house? I'd have insulation...
DarkVampire Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 When I was a kid, I could never build anything cool like that.
Msterbeau Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 My best friend is an architect. He has a whole book on these things!!! Add me to the list for one.....
JaneDead Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 http://www.treehouseworkshop.com/nworegon.htm <{POST_SNAPBACK}> forget the treehouse. i will take it as a real life size house.

We also built giant Teepees (SP?) a few times and had a fire in the front....pretending to be native americans...... fun fun...oh the good ol days

Lol j/k, I dont know a damn thing about teepees anyway. But I do know how to start huge bond fires by using bed matress's though :devil Back on subject: I never made a tree house before but however back as a kid me and some other kids made a pretty good hide-out in a abandoned subway station in the ghetto days.
Soulrev Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Heh that makes me want to go build my own little tree house.. With insulation, a few rocking chairs, heat, a record player and some Miles Davis.. Oh did I forget to mention the 3 foot water hooka? Heh.
honeymustard02 Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 They have plans you can get that let you have the supports on the ground, and you build around the tree. It's pretty neat. Because I also don't like doing that to a living thing. tree houses make me sad... i just can't bring myself to put a nail in a live tree - it just *feels* wrong, for some reason... =( (what? so i'm weird - shut up!!) :fear <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Lots of awesome stuff down there and you can usually get power and everything you need as well.
