just switched banks to USAA, my god i'm fuckin happy... Now it's fuckin easy to manage my money with absolutely free checking, and free depit/ATM card transactions, and no fees... and to think, i thought i needed to get a steady relationship with a girl so i can just throw all my money at her and say, "here, you manage this for me, it's too much of a headache for me" now i can stay single! That's gonna eliminate 80% of the problems i'm in with these girls now!!!

fuck yeah!!!!!

I agree... I think they fucking suck as an insurance agency, but as a bank... my god they're awsome..

I agree.

But the insurance is so much cheaper. Too bad you can't get it in Michigan .... with our points, we could use "cheap" right now.

Annoyed at things that are beyond my control...

Not to thread jack or go off topic but.. you can get usaa insurance in michigan.. it's world wide. When I had them as insurance, they told me I'm covered even in michigan (question came up as I did plan to move back to michigan after the marines) however i got in one accident with a tree (someone else driving no less) and they jacked the bill up from $121 a month full coverage straight to $370 a month full coverage... that's when I dropped them faster than a box full of aids.

I feel the need to make a comment. I feel like making it here, so it won't qualify as a threadjack.

I often hear people make reference to people who practice the religion of Judaism as Jewish people.

I feel that sometimes people forget that if someone is Jewish, that it is the Religion they choose to practice; Not their Nationality or ethnic background.

*begin threadjack*

I dropped ours about 5 years ago (?) in September when our Neon got rear-ended by a semi truck. I called to file a claim and they said they dropped us 3 months ago (July) for non-payment. I had paid my bill, always 6 months in advance. But of course, we moved and I had no proof I paid (back in the days of money orders for everything).

We ended up suing them (the truck driver gave the cops bad info, so we couldn't even get ahold of his insurance or even verify he had it) and we won. We got a settlement through them in January. And bought a new car.

Fast forward to 2004, I insured my 1988 Beretta with them for $19 a month PLPD. Oh it was wonderful .... until I sold the car to my Mom, who insured it under her policy and I bought it back from her not too long afterwards. We just kept it under her insurance (since her mailing address was my house anyway and she had AARP insurances so it was cheap through them too) until I sold it in 2005 ... I think.

I got my 98 Malibu, which was my Mom's old car, when she bought a new one. Kept the insurance in my Mom's policy until I moved out here.

Last year I tried to switch back to USAA, even with our points, it was cheap for the two new cars. They said they couldn't issue new policies in Michigan or Hawaii (go figure!). Write our state reps because they are the ones not allowing them to write the policies.

So here we are (I'm currently in a battle with our insurance company over my still damaged Mazda ... three months after the incident) paying out almost more in insurance than we are in the two brand new car payments.

*end threadjack*

They, however, ROCK as a bank. I feel.

that's the main reason why i'm glad i have no car... i just can't ever fucking stand dealing with insurances..

and it is ironic... USAA, one of the notoriously worst insurance agencies yet... the best bank anyone could offer...

ok thread jack over, I don't feel like making any mods get yelled at today

I feel that it seems busy @ work, but mostly it's that the snow is doubling our drive times so drivers aren't available as much.
