Who broke DGN

Any moderators care to comment on why we've exceeded the bandwidth limit again? Do we need to contribute some $$$ to help? Is it even within the realm of doing without Troy being active here?

Well, you did suggest my signature line after all so if anyone would've suspected it was me, it'd be you and Saephyr. I'm starting to get over my bitterness so that may cause a few glitches from time to time, but the resentfulness is still there so at least we'll have no major crashes.

Now if one of these girls that I'm crushing on actually returns my affections, then I'm sorry; there's no telling what'll happen. Better back-up the servers now, just in case.

A few words....

Bandwidth usage is what broke DGN.... ie... large sig sizes and huge pictures being used in certain threads (guilty) so I am going to take a few steps to control this, at least on my end...

Yah.. I know that. But is it something we need to address? (ie. more bandwidth) Or is the solution to limit image use?

Or perhaps the solution is for Kelly to stop posting half-naked photos of herself.

i didn't even know dgn was broken until i started seeing manic bulletins on myspace. you junkies.

The only thing I'd limit is sigs. Even then... most of that stuff is cached the first time you browse a page so it's not being constantly downloaded. People should be mindful when posting photos. I'd say limit the picture games but most of those images are hosted elsewhere.

try to host my own images so stuff comes out of my badndwidth which i set up for heavy use (i use a lot of forums tbh) so i dont mind hosting to odd collection for folk

Yes it is in the DGN guidlines..... I think.... I have had to talk to people before about this... but I have abused this in the past as well =(

Just a reminder - DGN is still functional on EZboards.

I posted there last time this happened and it looks like nobody else ever goes there.

It's an excellent fallback when IPB DGN goes kaput now and then.

That used to affect EZB DGN. Couldn't it also do so on IPB?
