Shade Everdark Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I was listening to part of the Democratic presidential candidates' Q & A on NPR on the way into work. It's a pity Bill Richardson wasn't a part of it; I had wanted to hear some more about him. As it stood, Obama and Kucinich returned the best answers regarding the section I was listening to (it was on our relationship with China). Edwards, unfortunately, seemed a bit equivocal about the matter. Kucinich had some tough talk, but not only did it smack a little of hot air, it seemed to me to evince a desire on his part to go backward instead of forward with our relations with China. In other words, the Democrats, as usual, were sort of all over the map. If only they could get their act together.
Troy Spiral (13) Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 I'd caution people away from "no matter what" or "no matter what anyone says" or "I always X , Y, Z." type thinking. Closes your mind off to any new ideas or thoughts. We all could be wrong about something we thought we had figured out. Just about any idea is open to later revision. The interests and thinking processes should expand with time not get more narrow. Who to vote for? Not sure yet. Way to many factors involved. I think people spend more time thinking about a new CD than they do a new president. I'd hold off making a final decision until i can absorb as much info as possible, and with so much out there, that means right up until very close to the wire. Unless you have some personal single-issue that only one candidate will push through. Which in that case I'd try to suggest thinking about whats best for the country/world as a whole rather than whats best for "me". (obviously still an opinion, but an opinion with a less personal focus)
