she seemed rather frigid. although she liked to think of it as "practically perfect in every way" i think that really meant "stuck up bitch". so i don't know if she really put out or not.

you know, she would give him those *looks* every now and then. you know the ones. like yeah, i'm going to slap that ass later baby. so maybe she was uppity as a front and a slut in the bedroom.

Wow what an imagination... It's making me... think

yeah i guess i am the only one who ever really wondered about mary poppins in that way. especially since she only blows into town when the wind changes.

Mary Poppins is AWESOME....why? I'm not quite sure....she just is.

Yeah...I was just trying to figure it out...because personaly, I don't find too much endearing about her.

Didn't she float around with an umbrella and sing?

Missierae: I thought I remembered her doing that. So, I guess, if you're a chick, an umbrella seems a lot more fun?

I do think it would be fun.....if only the world really worked like that....haha...and people ran around dancing and singing all day. The world would be a much better place if it were a MUSICAL. lol. :woot:

My birthday was great. My friend, Lael, came in for the occasion. We almost had the kids for the weekend, which would have been just fine with me! We went to Nacho Mama's in Canton Friday night. I love Nacho Mama's! We had a hubcap margarita, which was impossible to finish. Especially since I was driving. I wasn't getting drunk for that reason. I had a glass of wine when I got home, though. Saturday, we went to Poe's grave at Westminster Hall. What a beautiful place! Someone was having their wedding there, which was really cool. Then, we went to Fell's Point. I love Fells Point, and often wonder why I don't go there often. I'll have to change that. Then, we went to a cemetery by my inlaws and took pics. One of the mausoleums was on fire two years ago, and is still standing. It's destroyed, which made it very eerie when we went into it. Sadly, a lot of the heads of some of the monuments were chopped off by vandals. THAT pisses me off. Naturally, they'd be the ones of the Virgin Mary and Jesus. I may not be very religious, but that's just wrong.

I made a pot roast with potatoes and carrots, and then we watched "The Holy Grail." I love that movie so much. We mainly gave Lael the tour. At least, as much of the tour as we could in such a short time.

i grew up on mary poppins. i love her although i always thought she was rather snotty. when the movie came on every year i would watch it with my mom. one year i guess i dressed up like her cuz they is a pic of me watching it dressed up in a hat and coat. it is one of my favorite musicals to sing along to.

also, we taped it one year on our BETA player. (beta... ah that was so ghetto-fabulous)

the tape got stuck in there so when we wanted to watch a tape it was... mary poppins and mary poppins only. so i guess i got really used to seeing it and have it pretty much memorized.

then at another point our house got robbed and the beta was stolen. i sure hope they liked mary poppins too.

That sounds like a great day Brenda. You never mentioned Poe's grave being there...I wasn't sure if he was there or if they had moved him.

Dyno~I suppose I understand? My friend Chris had a Dead Kennedys tape stuck in his car stereo for about a year, so...yeah, I did a lot of singing along to the FrankenChrist album. Jello Biafra is sort of snotty, too.

Nope. Poe's still here.

Posted

your b-day sounds like it was divine miss starrr.

are you still going to be here in october??

Posted

And when you come, will you bring Poe's remains with you?

Posted

October might not happen. I'm hoping it still will, though. We've set a goal to pay off all of our bills within 6 to 9 months so that we can work on buying a house. I'm trying, though.

Well, that's good and bad news, isn't it? Whatever you decide Brenda. Detroit...might still be here for a little while...yet?
