Well, this point is easy to solve: How many people here have had crushes resolve into a relationship after you have told them?

Good question indeed. 0

Hapend to me once long time ago, but I would consider high-school experiences a completely different ball game alltogether. Things just dont work like that anymore.

:wink  It's ok, Sooth, it's about crushes, nuttin else.  which excludes, dating, near dating, hooking up, and or relationships...crushes never materialize...food fer thought.  :wink

I feel I need to clear the air. I want people here to understand that I am not condeming you nor looking down my nose at you for your thoughts/actions and beliefs. You should keep in mind when reading my posts that I am strickly speaking for myself. I have just never been on the side of what's popular with most people. I am not someone that wants to piss on the fun. I'm a firm believer in what works for one person does not work for everyone.

I've known people that want to do things that I don't agree with but that's fine for them and not for myself. As long as it doesn't hurt me or my loved ones have at it. If it's gonna effect me or them expect that I will speak up but other than that, whatever. I'm not putting people down because I do not agree with them. I am just an old soul in a young body. If you find that strange for me to say then so be it but it is true. =)

i had a crush on my husband for 9 years before we got married. i met him when i was 16 and liked him from that day on. we sort of dated after that- about a year or so later. but not really. then we both had other relationships and were only friends for many many years. we finally actually dated when i was about 24. got married when i was 25. and today is our 6 year anniversary.

well... my last relationship was one born out of my crush on him for a few months... which lasted a few years, and is now turning into some kind of emotional shipwreck that I can't locate a lifeboat in...

ugh.

so owning up to crushes can be a good thing, worth more than just a good fuck if you're genuine about your feelings. it's totally possible. but don't look at my evidence, I'm drowning. :erm

I've told every guy I've ever had a crush on and I think out of all of them, I'm counting the ones who really mattered, so 5. But, I've ran into some guys who where just dicks about it to so.. I dunno.. that happens. But I would rather someone knew how I felt then go on forever without them knowing.. You never know what could have came of it. So be it a good reaction or a shitty one, its best to just cross them off the list so to speak and keep goin' .. :wink

Well, about half the guys I end up crushing on are gay anyway, so I'm not sure that telling them would be worthwhile.

Posted

LMAO!

Most of the guys I've ever crushed on look at me like a sister, and NOT the West Virginian kind.

Gay/bi guys have it going on though. They dress well and dance well. They have good hair. They're usually friendly and flirty and compliment you. Plus, they're often just DAMN cute.

Oh, I know. Trust me. Almost all of my friends are gay, lesbian, bi, or post-op tranny. WAY more fun than most straight people. They have excellent taste in clothes, and pass them on to Wayne when they're tired of them.

Dicks/jerks and the gay guys get all the ladies attention, not those poor schleps who actually want the ladies. Ironic, dontcha think?

If I were single....

You might want to consider running away fast. You know how sexy I find science.

i've kinda liked some guys or thought they liked me/where hitting on me and then had that moment of realization -

wait ... they don't like me, they are just gay!

That is SO not true. Dicks and Jerks get the attention of women who aren't too bright about choosing men. Everyone can make a mistake now and then, but if it is a pattern, then something is wrong. Likely she doesn't have much self-esteem.

I've dated some very nice, intelligent, attentive men. In fact I'm dating one right now. We treat each other very well. Not everyone is wiling to put up with abuse.

I just like to look at gay men and have minor crushes on them. But, I don't waste my time pursuing them. I go for guys who like women.

Besides, men like pursuing women who are players too. I watched two really cute and nice guys get played by the same woman at CC Sat. night. I said something to one of them, and he kind of shrugged and said, "Yeah, but the chase is fun."
