7, 9, 10 you name it. i grew up in a town where you were thought of as an outcast if you hadnt lost it by like 10. very creepy town, infact by about 16 most of my friends had at least one kid, some of them had 2 or 3.

Yikes. That sounds like one pretty warped neighborhood. Sad that they were in such a hurry to lose it that they didn't even use effective birth control.

It's hard for me to understand a young child like that even being interested. Most girls bodies aren't even mature enough to have had a menstrual period by that age.

He was 27 when I met him though.  As far as I'm concerned that's plenty old enough to make your own choices.

The fact is though, he is a hell of a lot more of a man and more emotionally mature than anyone else I have ever had a relationship with.  We like the same things.  We don't argue or fight.  We travel together well.  I adore him. 

It seems it's okay with most people for a man to be with a younger woman, but when a woman does it, eyebrows are raised (usually behind my back I find, but still).  It makes me wonder if that kind of pressure from other people is why he seemed unsure about me.  Aside from all that, he is also a valued friend and no matter what happens with us I will always feel very close to him.  I'm still trying to win his heart.    Can't help myself.

Sounds like where I grew up in the South. Well, not the having sex at 7-10 thing, but definitely the having kids at 16 or so thing.

My kids are almost 18. I asked them if age matters to them and they said 'sure, anyone over oh say 22-24 who hits on me is a pervert'. I kinda have to side with them on this one.
