saechalyn Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 People are like Wine. Preperation and Age make all the differance. No matter how well a wine is made... it's still not all that good till it's aged properly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Right on. Age does matter...maturity matters more, but age matters as well, at least to me.
FarrIL Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 maturity matters more, but age matters as well, at least to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree that maturity comes first. Period. Age is just another factor but it's secondary. Period. I dont always act my age. My SO doesnt mind. He might not always act his age, I dont mind. (( Just as long as he's safe, right? )) At any rate, we can joke around, have perfectly mature conversations..... easily. I think that with a large age difference, as long as you both can see on each other's levels, it just makes the relationship all the easier.
Homicidalheathen Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 Wow, I am freaking out over here. Yesturday my freind layed a bombshell on us. His daughter (my kids freind) is going to throw away her FULL SCHOLARSHIP to go marry a 30 YR OLD and live in fucking BOWLING GREEN Ohio when she could go anywhere to school. I know, we should be happy she is in love.......supportive even......but.......as parents......we are all sorta hoping it ends. Soon.

phee Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Why can't she still go to school? If he cares at all about her he would be thinking about her future also. I don't see why her moving and her going to school would be mutually exlusive
Homicidalheathen Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 Its the school actually, she will get to go for free, but had that anyway on a scholarship....she has been excepted to two ivy league schools but is going to go to some crapy thing in OHIO Because HE works there. I just hope its worth it to her. He just seems.....so....old.....for her. I know, but he does. I can't help it. It really does feel different coming from the adult/parent point of view.
TheAbsynthFairy Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 AGE CAN BE A FACTOR DEPENDING ON THE COUPLE/RELATIONSHIP SITUATION OBVIOUSL. IM 30 (GASP) AND UP UNTIL ABOUT 1 YEAR OR SO AGO I HAVE ALWAYS DATED MEN MY AGE OR SLIGHTLY OLDER. MY LAST BF WAS 25 AND DBK IS 6 YRS YOUNGER THAN ME. THINGS WORK OUT IN OUR INSTANCE BECAUSE HE IS PRETTY WISE FOR HIS YEARS, AND HIS SICK IMMATURITY IS A COMPLIMENT TO MY STRINGENT COMMON SENSE. (HEE HEE)
Homicidalheathen Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 I can honestly say I would not at my age date a 17 yr old. No way.
