I'm feeling bummed because my ex called me to say he wasn't getting our daughter this weekend, but wants to take her up north the following weekend instead. So no adult fun for me this weekend. On the other hand, I know she's thrilled she doesn't have to go to his house this weekend and she's excited about going up north.

I hear you on this. I LOVE spending time with my daughter, but it seems like I've always got to change plans and postpone "grown up time" for my ex. Kinda makes me feel torn.
