*Story Time!*

I have an earwig aversion~ When I lived in Seattle, we had all these gorgeous climbing roses all around our property. (I think I was 7 or 8 at the time) One day I went out and picked a while armload of flowers, I wanted to take them in and enjoy before they dried brown. On my way up to the house, I felt something sting me, then another pinch - a whole bunch of pinches.

I dropped the flowers and lifted up my shirt to see what was sticking me...and saw that my whole shirt was full of earwigs. There must have been 30 or more all swarming around (the flowers were riddled with them.)

I screamed and tore my shirt off. I'm not sure what happened next - I think my mom came out and told me to stop screaming. I had a rash of bites all over my stomach and butt as well as nightmares about bugs crawling on me for the next 2 months.

*gah* yes, they are nasty little devils. My first apartment had an earwig problem *was a basement unit* they would be hanging from the ceiling in wee chains after the lights had been out for a long time.
