Murder

You could kinda say the "big bang" was an act of distruction.. it went boom, spread dust and shit all over, but it also allowed for the creation of the universe. (of course this is theory too, I'm more of the quantum loop theory).

I think that wanders from the topic...... the 'big bang' isnt art.

That is actually the point that a lot of people are making.... Murder as art would have to come from the perception of a "broken" mind.

I would add that, THAT "BROKEN" is way more "BROKEN" than I...

I would be happy to argue that in another thread...

ahh that's where you and I differ. My own creation, the creation of the universe (even out of distruction), supernovas, those are all art to me. To me that's the highest form of art.

Even some people consider their children their own creation/art.

This is MY definition of art, not the actual WORD definition.

(Forgive me if any of this repeats what people have stated before~I did try to read all the previous responses, though)

MAYBE art can be drawn from the act of murder AFTER it has occurred…..capturing the mystery of the pain and violence, and twisted celebration of the persons life….maybe they struggled and its evident…we cheer for them for having fought back.…..images of these deaths after the fact MAY be construed as beautiful due to the deep emotional experiences involved in the acts. And what is art if not an emotionally moving experience, or expression of such?

I don’t think murder in and of itself can be construed as art, however. A psycho/sociopath may, though.

And as for all the violence in our movies and music, I don’t think that means we necessarily find murder as art, but experience a catharsis from the imagery and symbolism of it all.
