Anyone ever see the video 911 The Road to Tyranny?,how it stated that the Oklahoma Bombing,Kobar Towers bombing,in Saudi Arabia,1996,were connected to Sept 11.I am still unsure of that video,even though I own it.

They didn't "announce it". Someone leaked the info the the NY Times.

I find it odd that we (the people) demanded a witch hunt to find who leaked Valerie Plame's ID to the media... and she wasn't even a covert agent and no laws were broken, but the search for who released details of a classified secret program gets almost no media attention. Everyone seems to forget that someone committed Treason.

So basically, what you are saying is that if there is an attack brewing, and the only way we can be sure of its intentions is to wire tap the non-US citizen, you would rather NOT know and just let the shit go down.

Let me tell you something about how this is probably working. They pass this bill to permit wiretapping on all non citizens of the US.. think of all the mexicans all over the place... so take it a few steps further in the direction it's heading... they're already doing it to US citizens man, just look at AT&T, do some research, they let the government look at any of their customer's conversations whenever they want already...

So.. how is spying on us citizens helping us from shit that's being plotted over in some bumfuck country like iraq?

Saying the wiretapping is for our protection is bullshit... it's directly against us. There is no purpose for this, and the excuse they give to do this is not related really. It only makes sense if you buy into the fear excuse they give you.

Ok having finally read this thing and some of the surrounding articles i dug up... Its a pretty convoluted set of overlapping issues all rolled into one bill (as usual). I think many, if not most people aren't responding to the actual bill, just their gut reaction to seeing "wiretapping" in the headline.

Probably would take me another half a week to form an intelligent opinion on the thing.
