Ugh. Goddamn why did the flu shot have to have some latex thing in it this year???

I am deathly allergic to latex. They said if your allergic to eggs OR latex this year no shot.....

People on think that they are sick after they get the shot because their brain says "Whoa, this is a shot, its got a strain of some flu virius in it." Then you think you are sick. Only hypocondriacts get that feeling of being sick.

Another medic told me that if you eat something very greasy before you get the shot, you body will be most likely giving you the feeling of being sick, but really, it's just trying to get rid of it. But your brain once again blames it on the shot, and wants to find a reason to make you feel like shit w/o letting you get sick over the food that you probably shouldn't eat again.

*For some reason, whenever we get shots on my last tour, the medics had one female stand around mostly for the pee tests, and they told me the whole story, so that I couldn't let any females get out of getting the flu shot. I always got the honour of being that female. Upside, telling Majors that they had to get the shot.*

Agreed, every doctor, medic, paramedic, and microbiologist I've talked to says it's impossible to get sick from the flu shot. it's a dead strain of a virus. Dead viruses can't make you sick.
