Meh, I have friends with benefits for now. I think that Cupid was trying to hit me with the hail today...but that crappy conditions and impending classes kept us from talking long enough...

People need to be more proactive instead of complaining and acting like victims. Sure, everyone has relationship and dating issues--that's life. But, keep trying. Eventually someone will come along who is worth it.

:yes Thank you Greyhalo.

Being "I'm so depressed because I'm single" really drives them away. Really. You can be very happily single, but with an eye open :wink It's not that I don't get the wanting a relationship part, I get it. I just don't get the whole misery when single part. When you are happy in your life, it shows, and people will be drawn to you.

Icy, you show that once again - you are wise beyond your few years. ;)

Is THAT why everyone sidles away from me when I approach?

Here I thought it was simply because I smelled bad....

Believe me if she's worth it, you can make the long distance thing work. It takes time and effort, but in the end it does pay off. Even though Charles and I are so far apart, it just makes our time together that much more special.

:sofa: People also need to take it slow and allow a real relationship to develop, rather than cling to the first person who shows them attention for more than 5 minutes. The people who announce after having known someone for only a few days that he or she is their new boyfriend or girlfriend drive me nuts. Especially since those people seem to average about 2.5 "boyfriends" or "girlfriends" per month. :sofa:

Though about 8 years ago I met a girl and we started going out 2 days later. That relationship lasted 2.5 years

That's cool. "Going out" and being in a "relationship" are two different things, though. Pretty much the minute I met Morbid I knew we were going to end up being a couple. We still took it slow, though. There's really no need to establish a commitment in the first couple weeks.

so true.

i also see that so many people are after to many differnt people each day. if they are serious about wanting a relationship. they need to tone it down. stop hitting on everyone! people tend to not take them serious. just someone out to get some.

Yes, but then I wouldn't look as good. (It wasn't what got me started, heh, but I've actually been told, surprise of surprises, by two different people that I looked sexy when I smoked).

So, you see, it's a delicate balancing act. Maybe I just need to smoke in a bubble?
